gas hair stylers!!

Hi,
I have just got a cordless hair styler and cannot remember whether you're supposed to pack it as hand luggage or in cases. Does anyone remember??

I think you are allowed to pack it in luggage with the one gas cylinder. I'm fairly certain because my mum uses one and tends to make me put it in my case (more room for her!). I wouldn't have thought you could take a gas cylinder in the hand luggage.
