I thought I'd start a new thread for our 'Girly Weekend Away', as we have all now agreed on the hotel that we are staying at, which is The Hyatt

For those of us who are definitely coming and you've got a 'roomy', you can now sort out your hotel room at The Hyatt, which is 79.20 per room per night if you book and pay in advance

This weekend away is still open, so girls, if you fancy a weekend of shopping, drinking, eating and chatting about WDW ? and you are free on Fri 12th Oct & Sat 13th Oct for a weekend in Birmingham, then Kaylee and I would love you to join us

The idea is to meet up at our hotel (The Hyatt) around tea-time/evening, have a meal and go for a drink/club, then the next day hit the shops with an evening once again revolving around eating, drinking and possible dancing (or a quiet sherry in the corner for us old 'uns :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

You are welcome to join us for both nights or just the one - it really is up to you

The Hyatt is about 5 minutes from The Mailbox (a designer mall)

http://www.mailboxlife.com/

10 minutes walk into the City Centre and the Bull Ring

http://www.bullring.co.uk/website/

and the Pavilions

http://www.pavilionsshopping.com/

So if you're interested, then let us know.

Obviously to keep costs down, it will be fun to share in a twin room and this will halve the cost (unless of course you would prefer your own room)

We hope you can join us - it should be fun

Mandy :santa:

Right i definately know that i can't stay Friday night! Due to my good mate Karen (danauk) tactfully reminding me i'm going to cirque du soleil that night in Birmingham...you gotta love those people that remember everything!
But still hoping for the Saturday shopping at least!
Thanks Mandy and Kaylee for organising it though!

Woohoo !! Mine & Kaylee's room is booked

I can't wait, it should be a great laugh

Mandy :)

p.s. Emily, I look forward to seeing you for a bit of shopping then :thumbsup2

C'mon girls, come and join us for a great weekend - there's plenty of room and we'd love to meet you :thumbsup2

Mandy :)

I've just booked my twin room :thumbsup2 . I did phone Tam last night (at their cabin in Lake Watauga), but we had so much to talk about I didn't get around to mentioning this. Ah well, if she can't make it I can just bed-hop!

Hey Girls

I know that there is no hurry to book our restaurants just yet, but I've found various websites for you to have a look at. If there is a certain restaurant that you like or food you dislike, have a good look and then reply to the thread so I can keep track of what our preferences are

Personally I can usually eat anything - but there is no way I'll eat sushi. So leave your comments and we can take a vote nearer the time (when we get a shortlist)

There are some really nice sounding restaurants on here, and their menus seem really nice (and they're making me feel hungry too)

Enjoy !

Mandy :)

p.s. If you know of any good restaurants, then please add them to this thread

I suspect that, out of us all, I am probably going to be the most picky. I haven't looked at all the Brindley Place restaurants yet but, from the first lot, the only place that looked a bit too adventurous for me was Santa Fe.

Some of the menus look lovely (even to me) :thumbsup2

Ah well, if she can't make it I can just bed-hop!

Now this I didn't sign up for! Better not let DH see - he might get the (wrong?!) idea

but there is no way I'll eat sushi.

No problem with me - I survived in Japan on cheese sandwiches and anything chicken on the menu. I'm not big on sea food and they kept giving us stuff to try which I have no idea what it was. I was just praying that none of it would be dolphin!

Beyond that all looks good but I'll read them properly later :goodvibes

I will fight you for the fussy title Joh :rotfl2: I am a veggie and not keen on fish restaurants.

The only one I really don't fancy is Pennyblacks

I quite fancy the Handmade burger place as a lunch maybe??

You have now made me feel hungry too Mandy ;)

Mmm, I love veggie food too (though I'm not a vegetarian), especially Italian stuff like veggie risotto or lasagne

BTW - do you like my new ticker ?

Mandy :)

Hey, guys - steady on! At the moment the lads are happy to let us go away for the weekend! Too much more of this and they'll be signing up, too! :rotfl:

Love the ticker Mandy :thumbsup2

Can't say the same for veggie food, I'm afraid - I don't 'do' vegetables :sad2:
