Among the items
now available with Dining Plan snack credits:

ice cream novelty
frozen fruit bar
box of popcorn
12 oz soft drink
20 oz Powerade
24 oz bottle of water
piece of fruit
bottled fruit juice
flavored milk
snack-sized bag of chips
ice cream sundaes
ice cream floats
smoothies
nachos
bakery items
Mickey rice krispy treats
Also, during the 2005 Food & Wine Festival, snack credits could be redeemed for most "tasting portions" offered in the booths around World Showcase. Hopefully that will also be true in 2006.

That's a really great list. Thanks!

They have ice cream sundaes in a waffle bowl at the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor, but they are a bit over $4.00...wonder if they will be allowed

What Can You Get With Snack Credits?

As of May 2006, Disney has expanded the items available with Dining Plan snack credits. Disney is now generally defining a "snack" on the Disney Dining Plan be an item under $4 (pre-tax), edible, non-alcoholic, non-merchandise and non-souvenir. Some items such as pizza slices are excluded.

Snacks can be redeemed at quick service or snack cart locations only. Quick-service and snack cart locations display a "dining plan" logo on their menus indicating items for which you can use your snack credits.

According to this it has to be under $4.00 per-tax.

It should be noted, as well, that the list is a great start, but says that the things listed are AMONG the snack options, not the only snack options.. so, yum!

Good point, Mariposa! :thumbsup2

OMG....I had better tack on an additional 20 minutes to my daily workout. Last fall I mostly used my snack credits for water. But ice cream sundaes?? My weakness!! Especially when it's soooo hot in the parks! :sunny:

so pizza doesnt count..what about other small meal items under $4, like figaro fries and caseys corn dog nuggets?

Check out the "New snacks on dining plan" board, sorry, it wouldn't let me give a link b/c I do't have enough posts yet. Maybe someone who can, will find it and list a link for you all. Several people who were there this week have posted what they got and it is a lot more then just what was listed on the mousesavers website- sounds like that can't list everything there are so many options now. I can't wait for our trip! MMMMMMMM :wizard:

Just wanted to mention that I was at Epcot for the Food & Wine in Nov. 2005 and they did NOT allow you to get the tasting portions as a snack. At least, not in our case.

We used snack credits at 16 of the booths in Oct.

The dp snack symbol was even on the menu boards.

It was food only, not beverages.

I wonder if an ice cream sundae/float will include DOLE WHIPS?

And I wonder if a soft baked pretzel is a 'bakery item.' I remember feeling a bit confused last fall when a plain soft pretzel (no dip) wasn't a 'snack' and I paid for it OOP anyway.

Well, guess what- I guess I will find out soon, and I will try and remember to report back here when I get back around the 16th/17th! Remind me if I don't!

We were there in November for Veteran's week and used quite a few snack credits for F&WF goodies. Just no alcohol included.
