How Much Is Your Next Disney Trip Costing?

My family (wife, 5 kids), my sister and her family (husband, 2 kids), and my mom and dad:
8 nights

Gotta love those Dawg fans!! Hailing from Suwanee, Ga.

Our next trip in May will not be bad. I have an annual pass, wife has 4 days left on a 10 day hopper/no expire. We just purchased a small re-sale DVC, so our stay is paid for. Will be Old Key West this time, but hope for AK lodge in 09. Only cost will be driving from Atlanta, food, and other goodies. We will have approximately $250 from a Disney Visa rewards, so I expect to spend about another $500 for 4 days/5 nights.

Now the next one may be a killer because we will need those tickets again. We usually make 2 1/2-3 trips on a 10 day pass.

Booked via AAA:

6 nights at Pop in mid May
7 day tix + park hopper
DDP for 2 adults + 2 kids

$2200

then add:
1100 for plane tix
250 for shopping/tips
150 for limo to/from airport

$3700

2 years ago we spent that much for 7 nights:sad2:

Wonder how much more we'll have to shell out in coming years?!

I tend to do very budget trips!

My last trip in December:

Airfare from Portland, Maine to Orlando, FL : (JetBlue Sale)
$178.10

Six Nights at All Star Sports : (Using public disc code for 3 nights @ $59 + 3 nights @ $69)
$433.92

Five Day PH Ticket:
$0 - it was a gift!

Room charges (which included most meals and drinks, tickets to Pleasure Island, adult beverages, pretty much everything I spent) :
$326.43

Parking at Airport :
$48

Gas & Tolls to Airport in Maine:
$74

Cash Spent:
$150

Total : $1210.45

Spending a few days near Christmas with Mickey = Priceless!

My last trip was nearly free. I went with my mom and dd. My mom and dad paid for almost everything. :goodvibes

My next trip next AUgust will be just me and 2 of my dds. We are staying at ASMO and with room and tickets it comes to something like 1022..that is with Hoppers. Staying 5 days, tickets for 4 days.

Airfare right now, for all 3 of us is looking to be around 800 on Southwest. I haven't booked yet, waiting a little bit to see if i goes down a bit.

Not sure what I will bring for spending money yet, not too much since my kids eat like birds and I only buy them one or 2 souvenirs each.

The last family trip we took, 1.5 years ago, I saved all my receipts. We stayed at POR Riverside, got awesome flight prices and budgeted our food spending. We spent a total of about 3,000 for 5 days.

Trying my darndest to keep it under $3K.
Unlike the other two trips ENTIRE trip will be paid for in advance.
We're not doing the Disney Debt thing anymore--hurray :)

Wow, after seeing some of the airfares posted here it makes me glad that my dad had frequent flyer miles to cash in. He got 4 round trip first class tickets from Albuquerque to Orlando and still has miles left over.

My trip costs are all over the place.

Last trip was NYE 2006-2007 at the Contemporary for 6 Days
Room & Tickets was $3,400
Meals & Entertainment was $1200 (there were 4 of us, that was my share)
Airfare was $275
Total $4,875

Next Trip is this April at the Wilderness Lodge for 4 days
Room is free -- my favorite brother is a DVC member
Airfare is $325
Annual Pass is $480
Meals & Entertainment is budgeted at $800 (I'll have some relatives to entertain)
Total $1,605

Trip after that is this coming NYE at the Boardwalk Inn for 7 days -- too soon to tell what that one will cost.

This is our most expensive trip yet. We have never stayed Deluxe before.

9 nights/10 days: Me, DH and DD (age 12 so she counts as an adult)
Wilderness Lodge, Bunk Beds, Woods View
7 day Park Hopper with Plus Option (water parks, etc.)
Disney Dining Plan
Airfare

$6,439.80

I expect us to spend $1,000 to $1,500 more in our of pocket dining, pictures, souvies, resort mugs, stingray rental, etc.

But the entire trip is paid in cash as well as the extra money for extras. So we don't come home with credit card debt.

Our upcoming trip in May/June
Me, DH, DS16 and DD12 - staying at AKV and OKW
Room - $0 - DVC points:cool1:
Passes $0 - APs from last year :thumbsup2
Gas $340 (did same drive last fall for short trip)
Food $250 - usual grocery bill for our villa plus one meal out at Boma
One night stay on the way down $80 - going home -free rewards night

Total for 2 week trip - $670

Here goes:
4 airline tickets $1,040 Milwaukee to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale-Milwaukee
Beach Club 2 nites $120 & $230-last weekend for Food and Wine at Epcot
AKL 2 nites @ $165 plus tax=$365.
POR 2 nites @ $99 plus tax=222.76
Tickets, 2 6 day base $217x2=$434

$2,411.76
I have all this portion paid off for next Nov.

2 airline tickets are for my sons coming down at the end of our stay.

I have to pay for 4 Nascar tickets yet.
3 more nites of lodging near Homestead-Key West Florida
Rental Car
Food
Not to big on Souvineers

I have over $200 to cash out on Sunshinesavers, hoping to get it up to $500.
$100 on Disney Rewards

Hopefully I'll try to keep it under $5,000. Nascar tickets will probably be $200 a piece.

We only go on vacation every other year.

This is why we bought DVC we went every year or two. It just made sense our 10 day trip with airfare will cost around 1200 meals and all.

Well we were just there, so I will go with those prices:

3 Adults - me, dh, dmom
2 kids - both under 3! :)

We stayed at the SSR in a studio with rented points for 7 nights for $880
Our park tickets were: $850
Then dh & I udgraded ours to APs - $386/person
3 P&PP tickets: $141
DDP: $798
Gas Money: $350 (we drove from PA)
Spending Money - included tips and extra meals, as well as some things for the kids. We probably won't ever spend this much again since we bought special items this time that we won't need to buy again: ~$1000

Total: $4405

BUT we added on two nights at the CBR before hand and we stayed an extra night at the WL. This accounts for some of the spending money (food, etc)
Those three extra nights were about $500 (got AP discount at the Lodge) so that puts the grand total at ~ $4905!!!

Holy cow!!! Now we got the APs which is going to be a huge savings in the fall. We are renting points again for that trip so that one will be about $2000 for the room - 10 nights and then the dining plan will be $1500 (paying for my dmom and ddad), $350 in gas, and about $500 in spending...total for the fall trip (and these are all guesses) - $2550. If I buy them tickets as well then we are looking at another $270 about pp $3090. And then if we go to MNSSHP it will be about $43 pp - $172.....bringing the grand total to $3262

My dh is self employed so we don't have vacation time so we also have to save up for that....but I won't even go there!! LOL :)

This is why we bought DVC we went every year or two. It just made sense our 10 day trip with airfare will cost around 1200 meals and all.

And as you can see by my prices that is why I am soooo hoping that we can join this fall. Just hoping that everything else falls into place so we can pull it off! :)

Me and DH for Sept.
POR for 6 nights + 5 day park hopper + DDP + insurance = 2,259.60
Car rental for 10 days (DH hates to fly) = 282.84
Gas for car = 120.00 (est.)
Hotel at halfway point going and coming = 118.26
Tips = 80.00 (est.)
Spending money = 500.00
Total = 3,360.70

This doesn't include the snacks and drinks we'll be taking. I have saved for 24 months to do this trip so that it wouldn't be a financial drain all at once. I am a convenience person instead of a bargain hunter.

hotel for six nites:$684
disney tickets for two for four days:$450
universal tickets for two for one day:$190
gas:$200??
eats:$400??
$400 just for whatever.
total: $2324
I'm taking $2,800, so I should be in good shape.
