That's it, that's everybody!

I have an insatiable urge to travel. I just got back in January (I rang in 2014 over there!!) from a 10 day EF College Break tour of Europe (Amsterdam, Paris, and London), and am already planning another trip to Europe for this summer! So I should just be sitting back and planning for that, but I got to thinking, how nice would a weekend getaway be? I thought about a long weekend at Port Orleans... And then thought how much I like to eat, and how many nice meals I'd love to have. Pricing it out, it seemed like a lot, really.

So, being an obsessive vacation planner anyway, I decided to price out a cruise, just for fun. I mean, you can't book a cruise less than a week in advance, can you? And if so, the prices would be outrageous, right? Plus, I don't even like cruises. At least, I didn't really like the first cruise I took ilast May on the Jewel of the Seas: it seemed like a floating bar/casino with lounge singers for entertainment. And it was smoky. Of course I won't go on a cruise.

Then again, before my childhood dreams had been trampled, I had wanted to go on a Disney cruise since I was about 6 years old. Then I saw the great deal I could get, and figured I'd give cruising another shot. I love Disney, I love food, I love Disney entertainment, I love great deals.

Hey, Zac, do you want to go on a cruise on Thursday?

Of course he does, he's just as impulsive as I am.

So we booked the cruise.

We're going to hang out in Nassau for a couple hours. On Castaway Cay, we're going to hang out til they kick us off. That's the extent of our planning, we'll let you know how it goes.

I haven't packed a thing yet, but I have grand visions of a Titanic-like voyage (minus the iceberg and the sinking and disaster) with parasols and steamer trunks. Meanwhile, I still need to shave my legs and find my bathing suit.

Zac is all packed, like a guy. One backpack, three outfits, swim trunks, a toothbrush, and a bottle of rum. Yoho. Oh, and a pirate hat that he's wearing aboard.

We live in the Tampa area, so we're heading out tomorrow morning.

That's it, my anti-climactic trip report. Summary: booked a last minute cruise, YAY

I hope to come back with lots of great pictures to share, but to be honest, I'll probably just aim my ipod in the general direction of something interesting to me and snap a blurry photo of it as I walk towards the next exciting thing, just like I did in Europe.

So stay tuned:
-if you're interested in blurry photos of random unidentifiable objects and a detailed recounting of how much and how often I eat over the next few days.
-to find out how many petticoats and parasols I ended up taking on the boat
-to find out if I ever found my bathing suit
-or shaved my legs
