THANKYOU everyone for your kind wishes for Mom ; she is still in hospital - they are modifying her heart-therapy - but she is MUCH BETTER , and so also Dad is quiet now.
We'll spend the weekend with him - going to visit Mom together !

It is SO BEAUTIFUL to come on here and find so many wonderful friends !!!

I plan to come and see you all as often as I can ; I do hope you don't mind if I have no time to go through ALL the posts ...

Hi! We are going for the first time soon and I had a question about room requests! We have a Savanna view booked (not arusha) - any advice as to what floor/area/savanna to request? Our biggest thing is that we have a good view, if that means walking a bit more that's okay!

Hello everyone, I'm a bit of a lurker on this thread. We are headed to Disney and staying at AKL for the first time. I'm have a bit of last minute anxiety, wondering if I made a mistake choosing this resort.

I'm reading some reviews that say it's too isolated, to much walking from point to point, that the buses are always packed and slow, etc.

Could you all be so kind as to tell my why our family will LOVE it?? Many thanks for the pep talk

I never get why people always state this. We rented a car so I can't speak of the bus but it would only take about 15 minutes to HS or Epcot (unless you get lost following the wrong signs) and MK took about 20 minutes when we drove.

We stayed one night at the BC and yes there is more activities happening on the Boardwalk area, but when I come back to AKL I just love the whole atmosphere here and it is just relaxing after having spent the all day in the parks. And I think AKL has the BEST pools too!
