Great first day - looking forward to reading about your Palo Brunch (which I would love to do one day).
I'm a sucker for this wherever I go.. I always love all the detail on the ironwork
I forgot to buy one One more reason to cruise again! My favorite butter knives. I use mine at home all the time! You can purchase these in the gift shop on board the ship.
Soooo good. I could have eaten a whole plate for dinner! To start I got my favorite appetizer on DCL...the truffle pasta pursettes. They were exceptionally good today!
That's cool, I didn't know they did this. We skipped NBC stuff, but decided to finally watch it all the way through before Christmas this year. We've only seem a short section from the middle of the movie. The movie was showing pretty late...think around 11pm, but I heard that Jack and Sally have a meet n greet right after and since I've never met them I thought it was the perfect opportunity
I think this is why we could do a family trip cruise. After DLR and then the wedding trip with family, I don't know if I can take them on something requiring lots of planning lol. I think a cruise will work becasue it would be really easy to meet up on the ship during the day... right now we have done people who want to say, take a break and their SO doesn't, but they stay in the room anyways because of transportation, etc. We're still hoping to do a 5 or 7 night trip with zack's brothers and parents next fall.I spent a lot of solo time on this cruise, just because it really was just us two and the in-laws and they did their own thing a lot, while Steve enjoyed his naps. On the other hand I went exploring, character hunting, or spent time in the Rainforest room. I really wanted to make the most of this cruise and it was great we all got to do things we really wanted to do.
Another reason for another cruise. We didn't do the photos because of the price, and character lines were always long when we went by. All of your photos have been great so far! There was live music and no line for Mickey so I got another picture with the Captain...

I am practically drooling waiting to read about your Palo Brunch!! I can't wait!
Looks like a fabulous solo evening. I am so envious of all the solo time you get. Don't get me wrong I love my family, but seeing a moving and exploring a ship by your self seems like a divine experience!

Love your picture! What a fun first night. I love the beginning of vacation energy. It must be super intense when everyone is all on the same page with that energy! All the Halloween decorations are so cute. I’ve never seen Nightmare Before Christmas...may need to put that on the viewing list for this holiday weekend. Speaking of, Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We went to Senses Spa to buy Rainforest Room passes. Even though it was not as nice as the Fantasy's it was still a great way to unwind and relax. We literally went there every day and I loved taking naps on the heated loungers. I saved all my Disney reward gift cards, and every Disney GC I got as a gift over the past year and a half so that we could go to the spa multiple times on this trip. We had 3 different treatments booked before the cruise: a couples massage, an exotic Rasul treatment, and a pedicure for me. Since we got the Rainforest room passes I thought the Exotic Rasul was kinda like the same thing. You're just in a steam room with scrubs and lotions, so I just changed it to another couples massage. While there we were also told about the port special, a Pamper Package which combines a massage, scalp massage and reflexology for a special price during port days. Since we did not have anything planned for our day in Sydney we booked that for the afternoon and they were able to give us a couples room for that as well. I also confirmed my MIL's massage and facial package that we got her for her birthday which was two weeks prior to the cruise. We were all set in the pampering department, and I could not wait for that part of the cruise to begin! Just want to say, the staff in the spa were excellent. They all remembered us by name, and were just so sweet, maybe because we spent a lot of money there, hahaha.
I totally didn't realize there were two different nights at Animator's Palate! The only cruise we've done was a 4 night so we were only there once. How fun! This is different from the animator's night where your drawing comes to life, that was later in the week
WHAT???? That's awesome! You can purchase these in the gift shop on board the ship.
I’m here, finally coming out of lurkdom. I’ve read most of your TRs, and they’ve provided lots of inspiration about what to do in Disney, so thank you!
This cruise looks so fun; I’ve never been on one, but it’s fun to see something different than Caribbean ports.
Nice dinner at Animator's! I love those truffle pursettes too! There isn't a lot else on the menu that wows me though.
I don't know how you stay awake so late! Usually after dinner I'm toast! They had those Oogie Boogie popcorn holders out at DL & DCA and the lines for them were crazy long!
Great video’s and love that you and Steve got so much spa time sounds heavenly.
Your dinner at Animators Palate looks so good.
More great pictures
What a smart girl you are sitting in the back of the theatre
Love the pic with Jack and Sally.
That tree is so cool.
Love your picture!
Speaking from personal experience, that really depends on the family. Some people won't accept the idea of doing separate things part of the day regardless of the setting.
We just went to our first Disney spa at Aulani and have decided that we absolutely must visit the Senses spa on our next DCL trip. You're description helped seal the deal! The Rainforest Room sounds awesome

WHAT???? That's awesome!
What an awesome first day!!
We had Rainforest passes on our Honeymoon cruise and we LOVED it!! I feel like we used it every single day or anytime during the day we had some down time we'd be like...let's go back to the spa!
I really enjoyed breakfast outdoors with the beautiful weather, views, and lots of coffee.
Sorry, I look very unpolished, hahaha.
BTW, there are sandals you can use at the spa but they are so uncomfortable! They cut your feet no matter how loose you get them so I just wore my own waterproof flip flops all the time.
When I was done on the loungers we headed into one of the steam rooms. It was pretty big, with tiled benches and hand-held showers so you can use your scrubs and rinse yourself off. Let me tell you, I have never been more exfoliated in my life!
Sounds heavenly!
The lighting in here seems kinda weird, but your photos still turned out super cute. Love that you can pre-book all these kinds of things.
I could use this kind of relaxation like NOW!! The scrubs sound heavenly. Our honeymoon was 11 years ago, so obviously they've done some adding to the features of the Rain Room. Every time I read this TR it makes me itch to book a cruise!!
I take my hat off to you for getting up when you did, especially since you got to bed so late.
Cabanas has the most selection and it's pretty quick, so we like it when we don't want to have to wait for some table service. For the most part, the food is mostly hot but yes the longer you take to get food the colder it will get just sitting on your plate by the time you get to your table. I am ok with it thoughWe very seldom have breakfast at Cabanas, so your breakfast looks interesting. Was the food hot enough? I always find that once it hits the table it is just lukewarm.
And guess what ......... we have never ever, in 17 cruises been to the rainforest room on any of the ships. But it really looks very relaxing, so maybe ..... one day ....... we will.
Love that you all took a photo with the Frozen "girls".
And Palo brunch to top it all off! Looking forward to more yum yum photos.
