The subjective opinion seems to be that August is hotter in Orlando. Objectively however, the historical average daily high temp ranges from 89 to 90 in late June while the range is 90 to 91 in early August. If you can tell a difference of 1 degree Fahrenheit you're a better person than I. It's not that it is hotter, it's that there is no break from the heat as the lows don't really get much below 77. Couple that with the fact that the humidity is higher and you'll find that you will welcome your hotel room AC much more frequently than you would in June. Once you get above 85, hot is hot in my opinion but this really is a case of "it's not the heat it's the humidity."
