Just the two of us - retired!

In 2002 my wife and I took our DD5 to Disney World for the first time. It was magical. Our daughter is now 27 years old and went on her first WDW with a group of friends two years ago. We couldn’t have been more proud as she took the lead for that trip and reported back to us with, “I remembered doing that with you guys and this with you guys!”

My wife and I made our first trip without our daughter in October of 2023 (DD27 had to work!) since we’re both finally retired.

We had enough Disney VISA Reward points that we booked a five day stay at the Wilderness with four park days and all our food and drinks and souvenirs and we still couldn’t spend it all.

These first three pics are me and my mom back in 1977 at Liberty Square. The second is our daughter and I in (I think) 2007. The third is my wife and I during our trip.

We had a magical time and ate like never before at WDW.

I remember our first trips when we brought Hawaiian Punch mix to save money by not buying drinks at the parks!

We had a superb time and only said, “Remember when we did THIS with our daughter?” about 100-200 times.

It sure is different with Genie+ compared to when I ran around the parks with our tickets to get FastPasses!
