My 9 year old and husband just spent 8 nights at the Mirage. It was easy for them to walk to find kid-friendly food. And it was convenient for the night they saw the show.Any suggestions for best family friendly (kids under 12) hotel? Haven’t been to Vegas since before kids were born but they would love to see the Beatles “Love” show.
If you're visiting with a car the Venetian and Palazzo just added parking fees for hotel guests and for day guests starting in a few days.Great! Thank you we’ll check it out. I remember the mall from our last visit, but last time we were there (pre kids) we stayed at the Wynn which was nice, but not really for kids.
But you're overstating the facts anyways. I've read the news too but it's not demolished. And frankly we haven't really been to Vegas in recent years when there hasn't been construction on the roads on the Strip and yes with high impacts..and I say that as we have a rental car every single time so we're out on the roads.Uber and Lyft drivers are refusing to travel on the Strip …
Everything I am stating is in the local news and reported by the locals struggling with travel to their jobs… and the long drive home .
They are in the process of building 4 overpass bridges to detour traffic .

A $17 room at Paris! Go for it!Ok, I want to preface that I'm a Los Angeles native and have been to Vegas many many times. Heck, I got married there years ago. However, there are a lot of hotels I've never stayed at. I'm considering a December trip while I'm off of work and some rooms are $17 right now. Please share your opinions and experiences related to these hotels to hopefully help me make an informed decison:
Harrah's
The Linq (stayed there when it was Imperial Palace but haven't been in the area since)
Paris
A $17 room at Paris! Go for it!
Even with the crazy "Resort Fee" and the paid parking that's a good deal for that place.
I'm well aware of the resort fees and parking (upon further research I can obtain free parking at at least 2 of these properties) and many things Las Vegas. I'm using one metric for comparison knowing ultimately it will be more but that is the easier figure for me to look at right now. All 3 are in my price range regardless of fees etc...] I don't know why I am justifying things I made the thread and those are the places I'm considering yeesh! No respect.I know you've said you've been many times to Vegas but I wouldn't really compare the base rates you're seeing. You need to know what the end rate will be with taxes and the resort fees tacked on because those resort fees per night can be pretty high.
According to resort fee checker:
Paris-$52.10
Harrah's-$45.30
The LINQ-$45.30
All three that you listed have parking fees (you mentioned free parking) unless you have status with Ceasars at the Platinum, Diamond and Seven Stars® levels
I would def. recommend eating at Mon Ami Gabi though at Paris. We have a reservation for that on Labor Day
We've stayed at Excalibur, Bellagio, Wynn, Encore. Next Sunday we'll be at Aria then several nights at Encore. The Wynn/Encore property is our favorite though we prefer Encore to the newly renovated Wynn rooms (we stayed at it pre-refurb and liked the old set up). If it were just about ambience and location I'd pick Paris because of where it is at. We found Bellagio to be great for the location but overall not as high in impression as we assumed it would be.
You don't really sound like you want any help here. The comments you've gotten on the thread from various posters are pretty normal for the question you've asked. People are just trying to offer information and some information like parking at Palazzo and Venetian was just announced (it's expected Wynn/Encore will eventually follow when the Sphere opens up). Your responses are "yes but I know this"...okay well maybe the DIS isn't the best place for this? You seem to know all there is to know about Vegas from your comments so respectfully? I'm not even sure why you're asking strangers for their input.I'm well aware of the resort fees and parking (upon further research I can obtain free parking at at least 2 of these properties) and many things Las Vegas. I've stayed at:
Hard Rock
UNLV dorms
Aladdin
Planet Hollywood
Luxor
Mirage
Excalibur
Vdara
Circus Circus (it was the 90's)
Palms
Orleans
Tropicana
Hooters
Stratosphere
Palazzo
Imperial Palace
So, I've done my fair share over the years. With all due respect of your input and opinions I'm only asking for opinions on the 3 hotels I listed. They're what I am considering so I'd hope that folks could merely respect that and keep it on topic. Thanks.
I asked about 3 hotels. That's it. Some folks gave good info and I acknowledged their post. Have a look in the mirror before you spew the "know everything" line. I've heard about you... Your replies come off very superior and curt so check yourself. Also, did you read anywhere that I asked about resort fees or taxes? Those are givens in Vegas and my dollar amount mentioned was a general "there are some at $17" The price isn't really a factor I'm considering past the range I've researched so that is why I only mentioned 3 hotels. There's Vegas specific internet forums that are more appropriate considering your responses to posters already on this thread. No worries I'll leave you to it.
Thank you. General consensus of those who read the post and decided not to just talk about their own experience elsewhere in Vegas, thank you. It seems like Paris is the better choice so far.A $17 room at Paris! Go for it!

I'm not concerned with parking at Wynn or Palazzo because I'm not going to be staying there. I even said I don't know much about the 3 hotels I listed. It is perfectly reasonable to reject peripheral information or when people don't acknowledge the request(s) made in the OP. So, have a look at your replies and superiority complex, lady.
This is what I asked:
"Please share your opinions and experiences related to these hotels to hopefully help me make an informed decison:

Nothing more...
C'mon! This is the DISboards! When you ask one question, you have to sift through everyone's experiences everywhere. Remember, you can bring your re-fillable mug back to Aulani and they probably won't say anything.I'm well aware of the resort fees and parking (upon further research I can obtain free parking at at least 2 of these properties) and many things Las Vegas. Yep, you sure do get a LOT of replies that have nothing at all to do with your question here.Thank you. General consensus of those who read the post and decided not to just talk about their own experience elsewhere in Vegas, thank you. It seems like Paris is the better choice so far.
And 1.50 sausage dogs and free buffets. But been plenty of times since.Well, we'd rather Caeser properties. (sorry my friend @DLgal ) ha ha. Paris of your choices. Even rode elevator with Steve Harvey and Brandy . If buffet still there, OMG caramel waffles, potatoes, and chocolate croissants made the trip.
I suddenly feel old. We used to go when the Aladdin being built and played Nickle slots with coins at Westward Ho.

We like the Aria, but felt like it was a million miles. It's been a long time though. It was brand new.I will say, I have had the best gambling luck in the casinos of Ceasars resorts.
Ceasars properties definitely lean more "old Vegas". I prefer the newer, more modern style resorts personally. The Aria is my favorite.
