I could not believe he said that to me :rotfl2: He is always giving me grief about how much I learn about the DIS but he is thanking me now!

Your reviews and pics are awesome! I am STARVING now, and I have no Weight Watchers points left for the day. :scared:

The whole family and I enjoyed your wonderful reviews!!
We have been lurking and watching for almost your whole trip.popcorn::
I have to say we were almost in tears knowing that you had been there just moments before and we won't be able to sink our teeth in until September!

:thumbsup2 Thanks for all the effort!!:thumbsup2

DH did gain a few pounds on this trip, now he is pounding the treadmill so he can lose a few before our Oct trip...that is his favorite, the F&W time!

So glad that you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for our next live report in Oct. This was my first try at a live report and I liked it much better than waiting when I get home because I remember so much more!

The best reviews and pics ever!! Thank you for taking the time out of your vacation to do this!

This thread was so awesome!!!:worship:
I am now rethinking some of my choices for my upcoming trip.....time to work in Bomas for breakfast somehow...haha
Thank you!!!!:goodvibes

And to round out the day we have dinner. What a nightmare this was. I originally had Capt Grille at the YC but then DH wanted me to change to San Angel Inn. Around 4 today he decides he doesnt want that and see what I can get for us. OY VEY dude you are driving me nuts. So I had the girl on the phone, she must have thought I was insane. She did have Spoodles and Nine Dragons open for 6 pm but DH said no to both. She had CP open at 6:20 but DH said no he wasnt feeling a buffet. She had 50's PT at 7 but DH said it was too late...I swear I felt like I was in the 3 little bears story, you know the one...THIS IS TOO HOT, THIS IS TOO COLD!

I asked about Capt Grille and it was sold out so we were stuck with Mexico. When we went down to the lobby DH checked with the CG to see if there was anything available, it was 5:25. They sat us at 5:35 and DH had that smug HAH face going on...I could have killed..er KISSED him.

I ordered the apple cider pork chop with sweet potatoes and fingerling potatoes, out of this world amazing and the pork was so tender it was like running a knife through butter. It was cooked perfectly and there was not one thing wrong with it. The chop was huge so DH had to help me out.

I am so thrilled that you did a review about the Apple Cider Pork Chop. I made ADR for the Captain's Grille for our upcoming trip in Sept. because of this dinner. It sounded so good and your review proves it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
:thanks:

Boma was for sure the highlight of our trip, cannot wait to try dinner there!

I am still dreaming of that dang chop, it was wonderful! I have this thing with ordering pork chops at restaurants, they alway come out dry and overcooked but this was THE most perfect chop ever.

Thanks so much for your report. We were at SSR 4/4- 4/14. I wish that I would have read your post prior to going and maybe could have been lucky enough to score a Boma breakfast. There's always next year :goodvibes

Hey I made the same mistake, many times over! Now I scour over the boards to learn as much info as possible! There is always next time right?

Are you getting sick of the compliments yet? Thank you so much for posting all of your reviews and in such good detail!
I was in WDW the same week with my sister - and the rain :goodvibes .
We really enjoyed the Brown Derby and LeCellier - now, after reading your reviews, I am looking forward to trying new places on our Fall trip - we are thinking about staying at YC (we have stayed at BC in the past) - do you do resort reviews also? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: I am just so happy if my pics and reviews help someone out!

We love the YC...it is our home resort and I wish I could get back in there in Oct but there are no 40% off codes available there. We are going to stay at the BW instead...the YC is fantastic, so quiet and peaceful, the "quiet" pool and spa is just about empty every time we go over there, the lobby is always nice and quiet, no one in the gift shops or in the halls for that matter, great mousekeeping, awesome rooms, great restaurants in the resort and nearby...we just love the place! Have a great time!

Enjoyed your reviews! :thumbsup2 I may have to do one now when we get back but I just have to figure out how to get those pics before my family starts eating and calls me nuts! :rotfl2: So... when are you going back so we can get more reviews? ;)

Okay, I'm reading this entire thread at work and for some reason (known only to the MIS people here) I never get to see the posted pictures. And I want you to know that even w/o seeing the pictures, I am in awe of your report. :worship::worship:

Now when I get home, I'm going to get my laptop and read the entire thing again so I can see the pictures of all of your restaurant stops.

We will be in the world Aug. 17-22 and are going to be on the deluxe dining plan, so I've made dinner ressies at some 2 credit places (Yachtsman, HDDR), places we really like (Le Cellier, 'Ohana, San Angel) and then had to do the lunch places. One of those we picked was Chefs de France. Your review was a positive one, but as you've seen on the boards lately, people are dissatisfied with it left and right.

Do you have any other thoughts as to where we might do a lunch instead? I know you didn't do too many lunches (especially after that Boma breakfast) but wondered if you had any ideas.

We'll be me and dh, along with our boys (10.5 and 6). They are good restaurant eaters and older son likes to order from the adult menu.

Again, thanks so much for taking all this time during your vacation to post this incredible review.

Glad you enjoyed them! We are going back for a weekend in August and another 9 day trip in October...stay tuned!

Sounds good to me! Thanks so much...it is there or the Poly but I am having a really hard time paying so much for the rooms there.

Oct 07 we did a split stay, 3 nights YC and 3 nights Poly (DH always wanted to stay there). We loved the YC so much because of how quiet it was and when we arrived at they Poly it was total chaos, super loud, people just everywhere. We did enjoy both places but if we are going back for a nice quiet week the YC is the winner. For a fun weekend we would go back to the Poly (we are in August for a long weekend because we got a 40% off code so we are paying under $200 a night...I agree the Poly prices are nuts!)

Hope you get to see the pictures, they are making me wish I was still there!

We dont do that many lunches but the Beirgarten may be a great choice for you and your boys. It is fun with music and dancing and I think the food is the same as for dinner. Kona has a great lunch menu, and Le Cellier for lunch is wonderful.

Have a great time!!

Your photos inspired me to add Boma for breakfast to our upcoming trip itinerary!! Thanks so much for taking the time to give us all your daily updates. I will not have a laptop with me on my upcoming trip, but I do intend to repay all the DISers with a full update with pics upon my return.
