Wait a sec.... Eva. I think that was our server's (Alex) wife!!! Our amazing Palo server (Igor) spilled it and told us to ask Alex to introduce us to his wife since they work the same shift, so she came over our last night to say hi. Igor's wife also works on the ship (I'm pretty sure they met on the ship). I wonder how many are married and both hubby & wife are on board.
All of our servers were great. Igor served us in Palo for brunch and dinner. He was a lot of fun. Since their were 8 of us, they gave us the Palo private dining room both times (kinda cool).
Funny that you mention Igor's wife...she was our head server!!! Her name is Yelena and she was awesome!!! And yes, they met on the ship! We never got to meet Igor but she told us that he was working at Palo.
Chasity
It's not exactly like Twilight. Much more adult and vampirey! lol. You should definitely check them out! You can buy the whole set on Amazon.com for about $32 bucks. There's also a show on HBO based on the whole series. Also, the DVD's just came out a few weeks ago if you want to catch up!
Ok...I'm majorly pissed...
My friends went on a 4 day Disney cruise the week before us....
Who did that meet on Pirate night?!?!?!?!?!
CAPT. JACK SPARROW!!!!!!
ARGH!!! It was my goal to meet him on Pirate Night and get his picture and they told us he was no longer on the ships (and we know he's not in the parks anymore)
NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!
Mamma Mia, it's the DISgirls!
I have more. lol I probably should have tried editing them but I can't seem to get myself to sit down and concentrate.
Amanda & Sonya - Did you get the certificate onboard? I'm pretty sure I saved all the paperwork that we got. I'll have to check to see if there is any discount certificate.
Just talked to Jim about the cruise (actually I was showing him the picture Robin posted) and he saw the comment that said we were joining in 2012. He said he's fine with that (I'm normally the one to say we can't afford it). Then I told him of my idea of wanting to go on the Pod Cast cruise in December of 2010.
Here is my dilema - I would really like to go but I'm very leary about planning any trips away. I was nervous about leaving my Mom for this past cruise. She has been having a lot of trouble with her leg (swollen, pain has trouble bending her knee, etc) she's been to the doctors multiple times and even had a steroid epidural shot to get rid of the pain but nothing has worked.
Sonya - We've been to WDW the first two weeks of December and it is our absolute FAVORITE time of year. The crowds are down, lines are short, you can still swim in the early evenings, and the decorations are amazing. The only downside is going back to the real world after vacation and having to decorate your house - our decorations just don't have the same effect as the Disney ones do.
.
Yes, our server Eva should be your server Alex's wife. That's the one. We met Alex one night when Eva was sick. I was busting Dwight'sc chops, asking what he did to "our Eva" and he brought Alex over to try and clear his name. lol
(!
Thanks! Will order them!
Oh no unfair. I reallly wanted to see him,
Ah look at you all!!! Thats so sweet!
The leafalet was delivered to our room once we re-booked the Med one on board, so I think you only got one if you booked on board. It was for friends / family to join you on the same cruise you had booked.
Thanks for the Christmas tips - we are definitely going! Only 18 months to go . . .
I hope your Mom is OK, that must be such a worry
Our asst. servers wife also worked on board the Magic! When our server was sick she came over to help him! They were really sweet. He told us Disney don't let unmarried couples share a cabin, so they pretty much had to get married! Poor guy!!
If anyone gets time will you take a look at this thread I have started regarding driving between NewYork and Orlando - if you live somewhere near NY then I need you!! We had decided we were going to do a road trip and drive between the two places next year, but people are scaring me with tales of snow! It won't be that bad the first week of December . . . will it?!

Haven't had much time to work on pic's yet but had to post this one since it was so cute! This was right after we hit up the Pirate Night Buffet!
Sonya - If you guys are driving NY to Orlando, you have to stop by DC/Northern VA. We are on the way!!! Sounds like a fun trip. Snow tends to be hit or miss... unlikely you would run into a big storm before Jan/Feb, I would think. That all depends on where in NY you are starting from.
I'm very proud of you. I had really good intentions but for some reason I just couldn't motivate myself. I did make it to the gym once though, lol. I was really excited when I came home and found that I had only gained 1 lb. I think that's just because I got motion sick a few times.I must have been the only one of us doing regular exercise on the cruise, huh?
Oooh! I love that idea. At least I have a few years to "work" on convincing Jason that it is a great idea. You guys should still come! Jason & I are planning to have kiddos by then. That just means that we can hang out with our kiddos together!!!! Sounds like we may end up with a nice little group of toddler DISers. Maybe we can stick all the guys with the little ones and all the DIS girls can go to Palo!
This pics are soo funny, I'm so glad you posted them!!!Mamma Mia, it's the DISgirls!
I totally forgot about this pic. It looks like we are definately enjoying our deserts!!! These pictures make me miss you all sooo much.Haven't had much time to work on pic's yet but had to post this one since it was so cute! This was right after we hit up the Pirate Night Buffet!

Our table on pirate night. Yes, I actually bought the picture.
A couple of our table pictures were nice, but I picked this one because of the Key-Lime Pie-rate thing and I thought it was probably the most fun. You have a definite, "don't mess with me I'm a she-pirate bad-*ss in this pic. lol
Miss you guys, too. One of these days when you make it back to WDW, you'll have to let us know and maybe we can have dinner or something.
That goes for all our Pie-rate friends, really. It's not hard for us to get over to the Disney and other Park areas for a while.
