I'm curious about everyone's favorite source for blank CD-Rs and DVD+-Rs. I use cdrdvdrmedia.com, and have had very good experiences with them. They're currently running a special that, after rebate, would give me 100 DVD-Rs for $9.99. I'm a little worried about one condition though, "you need to fill out ONE rebate and mail back with Two UPC codes" -- that sounds like alchemy to me. :)

Anyone have comparable sources I could compare with?

I usually go to my local mom and pops shop. They tend to have better quality medias at the same price of lower-quality medias offered by Wal Marts, Radio Shack or BestBuy.

I tend to buy Ritek/Ridata. US$ 15 for a spindle of 50 discs.

BTW, what you mentioned above sounds like a scam. The price per spindle is $10 after rebate which requires 2 UPCs. That means you'll need to buy 2 spindles in order to get one of the spindle to receive a rebate. Very fishy and confusing. No wonder it's illegal to advertise after-rebate-pricing in Japan (you can't say "$10 after rebate" but you can say "$20 with a $10 rebate")

Yeah, it sounded fishy to me, but this is a very reputable dealer. Even without the rebate, the disks are $35 for 100... a great price for Verbatim.

I buy all my media at Costco. Memory cards, CDs, and DVDs. Cheaper than most as long as you don't mind getting large quantities for the blank CDs and DVD's. I wait for the coupons (app. 3 times a year) on the memory cards and get 1G Sandisk Ultra 2 cards for around $65. I did buy a Kingston 512mb from Buy.com not long ago that was about $30 after rebate and it seems to work fine but I only bought it for putting it in my DRebel which is going up on eBay soon.

I personally think the "fishy" party is the rebate company (neither the manufacturer nor the seller). Regardless, Verbatim $35 for 100 is a good deal to begin with.

that is a good deal. I just checked bhphotovideo.com and they have the same for 59.95. They are also a good resource if you have never used them before.
