669 days and counting....

Anyone else book this little cruise yet??

Hey Laurabearz - I'll join you! At least now you won't be all alone in this thread anymore.

To make a l-o-n-g story short, this cruise will be my 50th birthday gift from DH, which will also be the first cruise for my family. It'll be me, DH, DS and DD (who will be 11 and 9, respecively, when we cruise). I guess there's no hiding how old I'll be since I already spilled the beans!

I just sent in for my quote from my wonderful DU agent - Tracy W. It's now just a matter of time until it's "official" and we plunk down our deposit.

So, I've already purchased fabric to make a fish extender, even though I've read that most people don't really do them on the shorter cruises. But if other people are game, then let's get in on the fun, too!

I'm soooo excited! But it's a long way off. Oh well. I can be very patient when I want to. I've got a lot of learning and planning to do. I guess that a year and a half is enough time to do it all, don't you?

Is this the 4 nighter? We cruise next month, and I have checked out 2009 dates....in case I talk DH into re booking!!
This cruise would work for us, kids would be out of school for Monday, Columbus Day, and the 13th is my b day!! Its either this date are one in January 2009 for MLK day...one less day for me to take kiddos out of school!

Toy Story - The Musical

The long anticipated Pixar stage show is about to become a reality on the Disney Wonder. Starting in March "Toy Story - The Musical" will be performed in the Walt Disney Theater.

The show features six new songs and and what is described as some of the most complex costumes ever developed for Disney Cruise Line. Among the characters is a 9 foot Rex the Dinosaur, a 4 foot round Hamm piggybank and you can expect to see Mr. Potato Head's parts fall off at the most inopportune time.

A rear projection screen is used as Buzz and Woody begin their adventure from Andy's Room to Pizza Planet and onto the infamous Sid's house.

Toy Story will join the two other productions "The Golden Mickeys" and DCL's award winning "Disney Dreams." That means that Hercules (which was replaced on the Magic awhile ago) will be ending.

Hello all - just booked silly early today also!! First cruise for us too. It will be me, DH, DD who will be 10 at the time of cruise, DS 8 and DS 6.

I have to laugh and say that when I first was looking at signatures, I thought yours read guiltymom and I was thinking, what's she guilty of?? LOL!! Our kids will be similar in age when the cruise finally gets here.

We go to WDW over our spring break in a couple of months. My planning is focused on that, then will switch over to the cruise. I'm a planner and being the first one is kind of exciting - I'm learning a lot!!

After I booked the cruise today, my husband said I have officially become obsessed with Disney, yea and that's a bad thing??

Yeah - I was on the chat. I think that I'm permanently cross-eyed after that thing. Tracy's my TA at DU & she's wonderful. She helped us with our WDW trip last October. I couldn't have done it without her.

You're not the only one who thinks my name is guiltymom - that's why I have QuiltyMom in my signature. If I'm guilty of anything, it's eating too much chocolate, maybe?

I'm jealous - you're going to WDW! But then we're going to Disneyland and California Adventure this summer, so I can't be too jealous.

My eyes are crossed after trying to keep up with that chat tonight - although it could be the glass of wine

I emailed DU and sent a couple of emails back and forth with Tammy. She did not get back to me soon enough and I booked today. I will probably transfer my reservation over. Can you see your reservation on line if you do that? That is a big issue I have with booking our spring trip with AAA in that I can't see it on line. I'm trusting that our TA has made the right requests, but it bugs me that I'm not in charge. Perhaps I should work on the control issues, LOL!

Just read on another thread that the Wonder will be in drydock Sept 7-26, 2009. So our cruise will be soon after, which I guess it a good thing!

Not sure what other dates would work for us. I liked Columbus weekend, so they would miss one less day of school...


We have been informed by Disney Cruise Line that the Disney Wonder will be in Dry-dock from September 27, 2009 through October 17, 2009 and will not be sailing during this time. Unfortunately this does affect your reservations on October 11, 2009 so we will need to reschedule your reservations.



Disney Cruise Line will protect your rate as long as you book within the same season (no holiday’s or summer).

It totally sucks...because like Laura said my kids have Columbus Day off too..there arent too many Monday Holidays in the school year

But, I hadnt booked, so sorry guys...evrything happens for a reason...

Fast Forward to Oct 2009...Hurricane/Bad Weather/..."so glad we changed our dates"....

They should have been more precise with their dates though.
