I was on the sailing as a surprise to some friends. I enjoyed it. The weather was a bit of a damper.

Thanks to the mediator for stopping the bantering on the site about "our experience". I was really shocked to see it, but she, as well as many of us was done hearing it!

Hoping that everyone living in the path of the hurricane is safe and warm with their lights on tonight!

First, I want to thank everyone for making our first FE a great experience!!! The girls were thrilled every time they found gifts in their pockets! So many talented people in our group!

We had a great time! We were dubbed the "Bingo Queens" by the cruise staff, as we attended every Bingo session...even winning a few games! The cruise staff were part of the reason we had such a wonderful cruise! They were amazing, treated us like royalty!! We loved our dining room servers, they were great fun!

Wish I would have met more of our group! I hope next time I make it to the group meet.

Obviously, I wish we had ended on a better note. Seriously had some doubts about whether we would make it off the ship a few times. Than, to top it off, I was flagged by customs because of my stateroom bill (we went a little overboard, forgive the pun! Lol!!). Had to be escorted to an agent and they wanted to see my bills and receipts. In the end, it was all good. but I was a bit scared for a few minutes. Remind me stay away from the Spa next cruise! Lol!!

Ok, I will share. Our stateroom bill was $1197. That amount includes tips, Shutters $400 package, gift shops and drinks. We spent a bit more than that because we added cash into the tip envelopes for our stateroom host and 2 servers. Plus anything bought at ports were cash.

For anyone who may have brought home their Animators Palate drawing. I took our 4 drawings to Staples to get them laminated. They are now on our kitchen table for place mats. My kids will be happy to see them once they get home from school.

Hey, that is a great idea!! We have a laminator so I will have to see if my husband can do that for us!

Our bill was about the same as yours. However, that was with two cabins, which had a total of $550 obc. Then I won $300 at the DVC presentation and an additional $26 at one of the BINGO sessions. So, it wasn't too painful.

We also had a good week on the Fantasy and we will be cruising again for sure. But, we will probably go back to Carnival next or try the Oasis/Allure. And, more than likely plan it for 'non' hurricane season

The Allure is a beautiful ship. Although, I think that I prefer the Fantasy, the Allure's Cruise Director is what I had always envisioned cruise directors to be. He was ACTIVELY involved in all kinds of events around the ship. He didn't just show up to make annoucements (he has a morning show, where he made all of his annoucements) he PARTICIPATED in the events. My friend and I are still suffering from withdrawals of not being able to hear his morning shows.

We are DVC owners, so we will be using ours for one of our upcoming cruises.

Monday night about 8ish. Hotel Director Daniel was on hand to offer his congratulations which was a unexpected pleasure.

We were there! Cheered for you guys.... Funny story. We were all there watching with anticipation because your DGF was taking a while spotting the ring, I'm guessing. Then the restaurant manager comes over and whispers to us " Don't ever put a girl in charge of the pictures. She started crying and the rest came out blurry!" LOL

That is how the Carnival director was. He was pretty young, very energetic and seemed to be everywhere! He taught fun dance classes, etc. He was very engaging, friendly and approachable. I guess it was all apart of the 'fun ship' atmosphere.

Received our Costco Cash Card that's 8.75% of cruise cost today in mail.
Actually maybe it is 10% without taxes, etc.

I'm just now finishing moving on land. I get more land sick than seasick. I was taking Bonine on land.

Does anyone know if we can combine a OBB and the 25% off? TIA

My kids and dh were on the Aquaduck a lot. No pictures!
