"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

We were in the MK all day today. We're going to the party tomorrow, but had a 6:50 BOG ADR tonight to maximize our time in the park. Surprisingly, unlike the past two years, we were NOT escorted out of BOG and just wandered out on our own. The parade was just getting to the Hub when we were and frankly we easily could have stopped and watched it if we'd wanted to. We were in the park since RD and didn't hear one park closing announcement. We were riding HM until 6:45 then walked to BOG, and then after dinner we walked all the way down Main Street, including going through the Hub, and were not asked one time for wristbands or were reminded to leave the park. We were in the MK on another party day (Sunday) and had the same experience. The difference from past years is remarkable. They really do seem to have lax enforcement this year.

There have been many reports similar to this. It started on the first party night where many guests were able to stay without a wristband and there were also no announcements that night either.

Well mice of DISBOARD, we will be arriving tomorrow, and attending the parties on both the 25th & 31st.

Keep your eyes peeled for me in my Figment costume!

Can anyone clear this up? I could swear that M&G continued all night and were not affected by the parade during parties but I honestly don't remember

I can't speak for every character but, when we were there last week, we were walking up to the line for Jafar when the cast member told us they were cutting it off because he was leaving to get in the parade.

I'm 45 days from my party. I went minimalist. I have a skeleton shirt with sparkley heart from the Disney store that I added a little bit of accessories to (sparkle minnie ears and some skeleton gloves, white shorts and white shoes).

Tuesday night, we got in line for Jack Sparrow at about 10:45, and we were the last ones allowed in line bcuz he had to get to the parade.

On another note, the photographer took 15 pics!!! My DS3 fell asleep on our way to the line :( but they had us wheel him up to the stage and Jack took tons of funny pics with him sleeping! Same at the magic shots, so if your child is asleep, take them in the pics still! (I tried to attached pics)

Great party Friday night! (Last night) we got to jack and Sally's line at 5 and only waited 30 minutes. They hand out jack and Sally autograph cards. And they talk! They really interact - my son dressed at jack and they talked to him for a while and took 15 photo pass pictures! We watched the parade and hocus pocus show at Tuesday's party so instead we did rides. All were 10 minutes waits. Pirates was down again! At Tuesday's party it broke down while we were on it! Watched fireworks and did trick or treating. Watched fireworks while on aladdins carpet ride. No wait they let us run around and get back on whatever car. Did it 3 times in a row and really cool to be up in the air while the fireworks were exploding! Ate at cosmic rays. Watched the castle light show. We left at 11 right before the second parade. Got back to the resort room exactly at midnight. Didn't see anyone checking wristbands. Between little mermaid ride and bog the photo pass had a frame you hold up. The photo pass entering tomorrowland on the bride with the castle in the background was the haunted mansion dancing ghosts magic shot. I got 2 party shirts for my son. I didn't get one. Got a light up Oogie boogie necklace.

We went to the October 9th party, and we got to MK at 4:00 pm. At 7:00, we were in Frontierland and there were lines of CM's asking people to hold up their arms to show their party bands. This continued as we walked through to Adventureland and when we got to the hub. We continued through to Tomorrowland and once we were there, no one was asking to see party bands.

I'm aiming on being around Storybrook Circus when the party starts. But I'm entering at four. Will I get my wristband when we enter?

We went to the party last night, and we're home now. We were in the MK all day on both Thursday and Friday. My husband and I both thought crowds were noticeably higher Friday than Thursday...personally, I noticed more school groups in matching t-shirts in the park on Friday. However, both days crowds were very manageable. We both thought the park felt more crowded during the party on Friday than during the day.

Sadly, but also luckily, both of our kids have discovered that the characters aren't real so they're pretty much over meeting them for the most part. They did want to meet Cruella so we did line up for her. I got in line around 6:40 and we were the third group in line. The kids declined meeting the Dwarfs and said they wanted to meet Captain Jack, but the timing didn't work out with him, so we didn't meet him. We literally walked right in and met Rapunzel and Cinderella at 7:45...no wait. The posted wait for A&E at that point was 25 minutes. We watched the first Hocus Pocus show and took our places around 7:45 and had no problem getting a decent spot to see at that time....we were right in the castle forecourt area. We didn't like the Hocus Pocus show as much as the old show, but we've never seen Hocus Pocus so the whole storyline was lost on us.

The kids (and the husband) wanted to do a lot of trick or treating and we got a ton of candy. We skipped any non-moving/slow lines and came back to them later.

The only time we were checked for wristbands was at the beginning of the night when we were cutting through Tomorrowland.

Had bad luck with rides...tried 7DMT and it was down. POTC when down when we were in the queue. We did walk on BTMRR, which is the kids' favorite ride. We watched Celebrate the Magic and Hallowishes from the FP+ area in front of Casey's, which was perfect. Sat on the ground the whole time, which was awesome after a long day.

We watched the second parade in Frontierland and got a front row seat right before 11:00. Another party sat right behind us, but there was no one behind them. It was definitely less crowded than during the first parade. Didn't like the changes they've made to the parade. Definitely liked the old version better.

Our 5 year old fell asleep before the parade and didn't wake up until we were pulling into our resort, so I sat with him while my daughter and husband went on 7DMT one last time at around 11:50. They were off the ride by 12:10.

All in all we didn't really get a lot done, but we also weren't going all commando and were just having fun. We definitely would have gotten to ride more rides if they hadn't been down so much. We all enjoyed it and would do it again.

Wait...what?! The characters aren't real?!? ;)

We went Tuesday and were directed thru different roped paths than those without bands and noticed every bridge was a check point.
But, after the first parade we could not believe the flood of guests leaving the park. I wondered if they were without bands...

(Sorry don't know how to quote on my fire tablet haha)

Here today going to party tonight. Partly cloudy weather...which is nice cause it's already getting warm for me!! Waiting on breakfast at O'Hana then back to MK and then to room to rest for tonight.

Just back. Went to the MK until 6 on Thursday and to the party on Friday. For the party, we were let in at 3:45, used our 3 FP and did a lot of rides. I thought the party was very uncrowded. I went to MVMCP last year and it felt much more crowded. We weren't interested in characters and lines for them looked long. We rode a lot of rides with no lines and that was awesome. We came home with a lot of candy. We went through lines only once but wow, they give you a lot. For the castle show and Hallowishes we walked up about 9:30 and found a seat on the curb right in the middle of the hub. It was perfect. For the second parade we sat on the curb n Liberty Square by the bridge. We sat down about 30 mins early. After the parade we leisurely headed to the HM and did our last ride of the night.

The walk to the bus was quiet and we waited about 15 min for our bus. We could see the previous one leaving as we walked up. All in all, it was a quiet and fun trip. We loved Hallowishes and the parade.

Pixie dust moment - we ate dinner at Columbia Harbor House, upstairs. 3 cast members approached and challenged by dh to a game of tic-tac-toe. We got 3 Mickey straws and a free chocolate cake. Fun moment....

And we found a lot of cast members checking wrist bands, they didn't always ask but were looking at our wrists.

They do give a lot of candy! We took home one full to the top bag of candy and left 3 bags behind in the room. Too much to take back - I needed the weight for purchases!!!! hehe

I was at that same party and that was my experience as well. They made an announcement at 7 pm, and lines of CMs were asking to hold up the party bands during the first 30-45 min. We were also in the Frontierland / Adventureland area. Later in the evening, I could not tell if they were checking anymore.

Did more parties sell out this year compared to previous years? It seems previous years, sell outs mostly occurred on Fridays, Around Columbus Day, and last parties (Halloween, etc.).
