Well, it's just me in here but I'm just going to keep talking to myself until someone shows up.

All of the early-year free dining has me pretty excited. I figured out yesterday that FD might allow us to stay moderate instead of Value, which would be great. It also makes paying for DD's BFF more feasible since the only cost for bringing her will be tix and the upgrade to DDP from QSDP.

We've got $500 in the Disney fund, shooting for $2000 by the time we book next fall.

I doubt it - since it will be crowded there isn't likely to be discounts, because they won't need them to bring people in.

I really don't want to go during a crowded time but we have to work around school schedules (pulled DD out of school for our first Disney trip, and I'll never do it again) and my DH can't handle the summer heat. (Early May and 93 degrees was awful on him this year.)

Unfortunately we have to pull DD out of school. DH can't take a vacation the first 12 weeks of the year and DD spring break is always the 12th week

I am getting a little worried about the crowd levels though the week before Easter..are they usually crazy??? We have gone the end of January and the end of February and the crowds were not bad at all.

I may try to talk DH into going sometime in Sept of this year instead, if the crowds are going to be crazy the week before Easter

I thought I was set on March 3- 10 2012 but now I am worried about weather! I don't want a cold snap! So I am now thinking April 21 - 28! Spring break trip would be March 31 - April 7 but crowds and prices are ridiculous! So we would have to pull our first grader out whether we do early March or Late April. I want at least 2 weeks separation between her spring break off of school and our trip if that makes sense.....i don't want to take the week before or after break, that would be weird I think?

Starting some sort of disney savings chart. DH and I will be splitting a fam suite with 3 other people (family) and that's going to make it much more affordable :]

I'm already planning and saving for our May 2012 trip! In my opinion it is never too early to plan! I'm just ready to actually be able to BOOK our trip!! I guess around Oct. is when WDW lets you book for the next year??? I booked our trip last May the October before, so maybe....

Planning on April 16 - 27 at this time. Dh's 59th birthday and our 35th wedding anniversary falls within those dates. One hitch is that we have a grandchild due this year at the end of April and I know we won't want to miss the 1st birthday, so we are a little flexible on dates. Sure would love to see some good rates come out, because if they don't, I'm not sure I'll be willing to spend the $$$.

As for saving, I put whatever is leftover from my weekly allowance aside for the trip. I saved $2500 for our Nov. 2010 trip that way (and it still wasn't enough). Saving is going to be harder now too because we each took a cut in our allowance (and dh doesn't contribute his allowance to the fund). Just the two of us going (empty-nesters except for the beagle and two birds) and we'll stay at POFQ (unless I can talk dh into splurging and trying an Epcot resort).

I was wondering if anyone could take a guess as to when the rates/possible deals for April might be released? We got a pin the other day for stays through the end of 12/2011...hoping that by the end of this summer we will see some special offers for Spring 2012!

We'd really love to stay at one of the Epcot resorts this time, too....a nice deal would make that more likely!!!

Howdy!

A definite April-2012-er here! We're in the UK, and many of the flights won't be released for another couple of months so we are waiting to compare prices before we choose who to go with, but that's just details! It will either be April 14 - 28th, or April 21st - May 5th.

Most importantly, we are definitely GOING! Woo HOOO!!!

Our party is Me 35, DH 35, DS 4 - he's autistic and has learning disabilities but is super cute, MIL and FIL. We'll be staying offsite at a villa somewhere in Kissimmee. I've done our MK touring plan already hee hee.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I hate waiting!!!! Anyone else?

I recently posted this somewhere else, before I realized there was a thread specific to April 2012... apologies to anyone who reads this twice.

I am glad to have found you guys! We have 44 days until our weekend trip to CSR . DH, DD7, and DS4, and I can hardly wait! We will be spending arrival day at the pool and HDDR, MK and Ohana dinner on Day 2, and BB on day 3 before heading to Ft. Myers Beach for the remainder of the week.

That having been said... For over a month, I have been planning our 2 week trip in April 2012. I was able to get a teacher rate at the Dolphin secured for those dates already.

Right now, I have the Dolphin booked for the whole time until I can figure out what my plans are. (I don't want to lose that rate) I am still in the process of figuring out how I will split my stay. Checking into renting DVC points from my brother's coworker. If that happens, we will stay at OKW for the first 5 nights, then 3 nights at Pop?, and the rest at the Dolphin. If I can't get those DVC points, then I will stay at Pop for nights 1-5 and stay at the Dolphin for the remainder.

We will be celebrating my husband officially finishing graduate work and our 10th anniversary. No better place to do it than at WDW where he proposed to me in the first place!

We're planning our April 2012 trip and I'm already daydreaming about a Mother/Daughter June 2013 trip to celebrate DD graduating high school. It's ridiculous. I went to WDW for the first time in 2010 and I'm hooked!
