Opinions Please! WDW Itinerary

Hi,

I would really appreciate any input on my itinerary for my upcoming WDW trip. It will just be my husband and I (no kids yet!) going June 26 – July 5. This will be my 7th trip (his 5th) and we will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge celebrating our 2nd anniversary.

I haven’t made PS for anything listed yet….this is just what I would like to get.

Saturday 6/26 – Arriving in the afternoon at the WL
PS at California Grill for 8:30pm (celebrating anniversary)

Sunday 6/27 - Full day at MK
Character breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8:00am
PS at O’hana for 6:00pm
Back to MK for Wishes, etc. after dinner

Monday 6/28 – Full day at AK
PS at Boma for 6:30pm (1st time)
Whatever relaxing we want to do after dinner

Tuesday 6/29 – Full day at Epcot
Character lunch at Garden Grill at 11:30am (1st time)
PS at Teppanyaki for 6:30pm (1st time)
Illuminations from wherever we can get a seat

Wednesday 6/30 – Typhoon Lagoon; relax day
Breakfast at Kona at 8:00am
Typhoon Lagoon until around 4:00pm
Head back to WL & clean up
PS at Citricos at 8:00pm (1st time)

Thursday 7/1 – Downtown Disney; relax day
Sleep late, Downtown Disney/Shopping day
PS at Fulton’s for 6:00pm (1st time)
Comedy Warehouse around 9:00pm

Friday 7/2 – Epcot; open day
Future World Tour at Epcot (1/2 day)
PS at Marrakesh for 3:00pm (1st time)
Whatever we want to do afterwards

Saturday 7/3 – Full day at MGM
PS for Brown Derby/Fantasmic pkg at 4:30pm (1st time)

Sunday 7/4 – Full day at MK
PS for Cindy’s at 7:00pm
4th of July fireworks show

Monday 7/5 – No plans
Leaving late afternoon; not making plans for this day

You might want to reconsider the full day in AK it tends to be extremely hot there. My family always thought it would be just like Africa. We always split that one to two mornings and get out of there by 11:30 otherwise wait till it cools down in the late afternoon. Wish we were going for the fourth! Have fun!!

Yummy! It looks like you've made some great plans. I think you'll really enjoy these meals.

I do agree about how hot it gets in AK and not staying there for the whole day - but you've been to WDW enough times that I'm sure you know to take afternoon breaks if needed. I guess I assumed you were planning that. If not, then I highly recommend that you do! That goes for all park days, not just AK!

I think your itinerary looks great. We stay at AK all day when we go--and it is most often in the hotter weather. Just alternate outdoor activities with inside shows where you can cool off.
