I was thinking about renting a personal WiFi device while I am in Japan. Does anyone have experience with this company:

That is who Tom Bricker recommends. We have booked them based on the fact that "Tom Bricker is always right". When do you travel? I can comment on our experience in a few weeks.

I would recommend them as well. I used them when I first moved to Japan and whenever someone comes to visit they always go with this. Never had any issues. Another thing you can do as well, is sign up for the Starbucks wifi before you go. Then if you're at a Starbucks anywhere in Japan you can hop on their wifi. They require you to register to use it. Then you can save your battery/bandwidth on your mifi http://starbucks.wi2.co.jp/sp/sma_index_en.html
We are in narita airport now waiting to come home . We rented a wifi device from global advanced for 18 days and it was worth every penny. We have just dropped it off at the post office counter in Narita. No problems with signal and good communications from them prior to our trip confirming when it was sent so we could track it. I would definitely recommend it
Just to give you another option, we used http://www.rentafonejapan.com for our TDR trip last year, and we were *extremely* happy with them. They'll have everything waiting for you at your hotel when you arrive, and they went above and beyond to make sure we'd have a hotspot that would work for us.
I rented from Global Advanced during my two month(!) trip this summer. They are excellent; the pocket wifi worked great, never had a problem getting a connection, long battery life. Worth every penny.
Kyjin - which one did you get - the 21 Mbps or the 75 Mbps ? Thanks!
I had the 75Mbps one. Be sure to order one early as they sometimes run out of them due to demand. Good luck!
Thanks! I just ordered it, got the e-mail and paid for it. I got the 75bps mainly because of the battery life. If I had gotten the other one, I would have had to get a spare battery.
