Megan,
That is AWESOME!
Congrats! What would your job duties be? Have you heard about housing and pay? Is so, any details you can share?
Thanks a lot!! I'm really excited, but there's a lot of information I still don't know. My recruiter told me that I won't know specific job duties or hours for working in the Disney Learning Center until I arrive.
The first day is June 20th, and that's kind of a check-in day to get you moved in and set up with everything on the job.
So far the all correspondence has been in person (at my interview) and over the phone, but I was told that most correspondence from this point forward would be via email.
After I officially accepted the offer, I had to fill out a form over the internet, and I checked there that I would be interested in living in the Northbridge Apartments. I was told that there is a limited number of apartments for PIs, and if more people sign up than there are apartments available, then they have a drawing at random. If you are not selected, you are responsible for finding your own housing. In that case, there are Disney people that help you with that. And you should know by early May whether or not you'll be in NB.
The NB arrangements are 4 people per 2 bedroom apt and 5 people per 3 bedroom, so you do have to share a room with someone...
I've heard that PI wages vary from job to job, but I'll be making $9.95 per hour with 30 hours guaranteed per week. But the hours vary depending where you work and the specific job you have. Oh, and rent at NB is $131 per week- even though the PI website says $129...
The last day of the program is January 2, 2009. That's all I can think of right now...
I hope that helps someone... but I think others have said pretty much the same stuff on various threads.
I can't wait for everyone to get their phone calls-- LET US KNOW!!!!
