Post-Thanksgiving

It's crazy that after 7 trips to WDW in the last 12 years, 6 of those being in the last 5 years, each time has been a new or different experience. This time, we are booked for November, arriving the Saturday after Thanksgiving thanks to the free dining promotion. We'll have 5-day park hoppers plus DDP, when our original budget/plan was 4-day base tix. Anyway, not only will this be the first time we'll be down to WDW during the holiday season to see the decorations, this is also, surprisingly, the first time that we've booked a trip out so far that we actually need to countdown to our ADR date.

How do you guys handle such a long countdown? Our plan right now is getting to the ADR date, then to the Fastpass+ date, and then starting the hype train after that.

First get a countdown for your phone. "Days To Go" has the ADR and fastpass date calculated for you. Then join the November 2018 thread on there (It's right above this thread right now - something about 'turkey lurkey'). Do a little research about your resort, about the restaurants you might want to try and anything new around WDW in general. Get on the crowd calendar sites. Take your time in planning your trip, because that's half the fun.
