While cruising, I understand you are offered to cruise again at a discounted price. Is this discount a percentage off or a flat fee off?

Knowing that we will be offered this on our cruise (11/2) we are trying to decide whether we would be interested, from a financial perspective, in doing it again.

Any comments appreciated...... Paul

When you rebook onboard the ship you are given the best early booking discount available and no other discounts. What you ARE given, though, is a shipboard credit for the cruise that you book. :)

On tme 7-day Magic cruise Oct 12 - they were offering special prices for the 7-day cruises for the next two months:

Fall 2002 - if you booked on ship - starting at $599

Fall 2003 - Eastern starting at $799
Fall 2003 - Western starting at $849

Most likely, you would have had to pay the entire amount upfront since it would be within the 60 day window (in most cases) and you couldn't change the dates if you wasn't sure if you could get off work and all - but for those that could do it, that was a great price.

Wish I could have booked for the next week and just stayed on the ship!

Wonder if you still got the $200 shipboard credit with that price - or would they say that was already a special price and couldn't get the credit on top of it.
