Sarah & Bobby's 11-13-11 WP/GF--Completed--ALL PHOTO LINKS FIXED!

Oh wow! The pictures are truly stunning! Gorgeous and I can't wait to see more!

*oh, and silly side note because you mentioned your perfume. I am not a perfume girl at all but I wanted to buy some special for the wedding. I ordered a couple of tester scents from ebay and then decided on Vera Wang Princess and bought a bottle. And dang if I didn't leave it at home!! And considering I only live 7 minutes away from GF, I could have run home if I remembered, but I totally forgot about it until after the honeymoon!!

Anyways....Gorgeous and I can't wait to see more!

Just a note: I totally agree with you about being spoiled by Disney resorts. I know a lot of ones are cheaper… but I’d rather be in a cheapo value on property than a really nice hotel off property! I just like living in the magic.
Onto the TR!
-The spa sounds like extreme Heaven. I’ve never been to a spa. Would you mind sharing how much you paid for stuffs?
-Ahh! Sago Cay wedding! And I get carded for everything too. Like matches.
-Ohhh that sounds like a beautiful wedding. You should have been a creeper and snapped a picture.
-I’m loving the Minnie ribbon on that little girl’s dress.
-I did a sleepover the night before the wedding too. I miss sleepovers! Can we do a Disbride one?
-Was your Super Nice Guy, perchance, short with white hair?
-Pretty pretty bouquet! I love it!
-Sarah, I legit got little goosebumps about the pearls. What a lovely Something Old and Something Borrowed! Absolutely perfect.
-Love the dress just chillin’ outside.
-His name is Henry!!!
-Ohhh your bridal portraits are GORGEOUS! You look stunnnnning!!!
-Ummsss WHAT THE HECK!!!! Fabulous update, but I want more please.

It's so fun to read about this, because I was thinking about you on 11/13--(that's the day I was having my MK session, so I was up and about when you were getting ready too!) We also stayed in Sago Cay...I cannot believe I didn't see you! I'm SO excited to read / see more. From the sound of it, I'm sure you both got emotional when the doors opened!

Hey!! I paid 130 at Mandara. It was for a 30min reflexology, 30 min facial, and 30 min massage. It was a special they had running at the time. Like a mini-sampler....it was AAHHHHHmazing! Highly reccomend it!

YES! We need a disbride sleepover!!

Our super nice guy was a taller, dark haired, middle aged man with a baby face, his name may have been Robert? But that could be my memory just making stuff up..lol. Robert sounds right though.

Thanks for your compliments!! And for reminding me about Henry! He was a real treat to have around on the wedding day!

You made such a beautiful bride!

Thank you!

No more waiting!! Im uploading now!! Love you!:hug::hug:

Then it was my turn!

Okay so fast forward back to where I left off. (Minor freak out behind the doors…lol)

I said I was ready and the doors swung open. My eyes locked with Bobby’s and neither of us broke our gaze. I could tell he was getting emotional, a) because he was watching me cry b) because we had been talking and anticipating “the moment when the doors open” for SO long and nerves, excitement, and anxiousness took over both of us. He didn’t shed tears but said it was hard for him to keep it cool. He did manage to mouth “Wow” to me as I walked…it was cute.

We finally made it to the altar, Dad hugged me and passed me over to Bobby. On the way down I did notice how AMAZING the pavilion looked, castle included! :) It was gorgeous and I knew no other venue would have been as good as this for me, and I was thankful I got my wish! The ceremony was beautiful and perfect. Not too short, not too long. Rev. Jack Day said just the right words to make an impact, and he also acknowledged Bobby’s grandfather, who had passed the week before the wedding, with the right amount of respect and tenderness. We were so focused on each other throughout the ceremony and it felt like we were the only ones there. My MIL told me at the reception later that the ceremony was so intense because of the sincerity, honesty, and amount of focus we both gave to each other. (I took that as a compliment!)

We went around to Picture Point for a few pictures. I only have one picture right now, but hopefully the photographer got some with the castle in the shot…I will be very disappointed if there aren’t any with the castle.

Got into thelimo for some parking lot circles and let our guests filter off to the Whitehall room for the pre reception. Of course we’re not in the limo for 5 seconds and Bobby pulls out his phone to check the NFL scores of the day. Story of my life… (Our team had been playing during the ceremony, and he wanted an update!!...we won! I grumbled a bit and the phone vanished! :rotfl:) We kept saying, “Were married!! Can you believe it?!” The limo driver had told us to enjoy the next few minutes because it was going to be the only alone time we’ll get all night, he put up the partition and let us talk and unwind for a circle-8 in the parking lot. Then we went back to the Pavilion for photos, then the GF lobby and beach where we got even more wonderful celebrity attention and super sweet comments from other guests.

I thought these next two were really funny….we’re pretty much bothtaking a minute to chill during pictures and stuff..We both did this within about 10 minutes of the other…but neither one of us knew it until we got the pictures back, lol. Obviously we think alike and needed a breather! Hahah

After photos we went over to the GFCC to see our reception room. IT WAS GORGEOUS!!! The lighting, the chairs, the flowers, the cake, EVERYTHING was so pretty. The castle on the cake was actually a surprise from Bobby. He had vetoed it about 2 months before the wedding, and I would slide my little remarks here and there about wanting the castle and he apparently listened. He and my Mom had worked their magic and set it up for me! I think it really made the cake!! Another surprise (this time from my Mom) was flowers!! Flowers everywhere! She had set it up with our floral planner behind my back and paid it as a separate account so I would never know! If you’ve remember I cut flowers from our candelabras because of cost and she added them back in….and it made the room! She also had the candelabras used in the Pavilion as well. :) It was everything I imagined and wanted it to be.

After we looked at the room we went to hide in the pay phone cubby while our guests were brought in for dinner. We got in line for introductions and headed into our party!!

The intros were great, we had our first dance. (Beautiful- Jim Brickman ft. Wayne Brady) It was WAY too long! After a while it was borderline awkward….if I could go back and change it, I would definitely shorten our first song! While we were dancing Bobby told me he wished he’d listened to me and taken dance lessons for our first dance…I just smiled back and in my head did the “I told you so—na na na na boo boo” thing.

Then was the Father/Daughter (Wonderful Tonight- Eric Clapton), my dad and I have a thing for music and Clapton definitely holds a special place in both of our hearts. This song was also too long and I wish could have been cut shorter. Not that I’m an evil or heartless person but I would much rather have a few more minutes for “fun” dancing or mingling than having everyone watch us like hawks!

Bobby and his Mom then danced (Unforgettable-Nat King Cole w/Natalie Cole). It really made his Mom’s day/night/year (lol) because she has two sons and Bobby was the last to get married. His brother was married in a small and casual ceremony on the beach in August and didn’t have a traditional reception, so she wasn’t given the option to share that with Bobby’s brother. When Bobby asked her about the dance she was majorly excited…so cute! :cutie:

We sat down and my uncle lead us in a really good blessing! Then it was time to EAT! I was staaarrrving! I am glad we got a sweetheart table because we were able to actually eat everything on our plates! I hear so often that brides don’t get to enjoy their meals or don’t get the chance to because of guests coming up to visit or whatever, but the separated table really takes that whole issue away. Our dinner was FANTASTIC! The appetizer was the lobster mac n’ cheese…it was to die for. Bobby’s parents are still talking about it. The salad was normal. The main course was a filet of beef, parmesan crusted chicken, cream cheese mashed potatoes, and veggies. It was amazing, everyone commented on how good both pieces of meat were and how much they enjoyed it! I definitely ate everything on my plate! I kept saying before the wedding that I was absolutely going to eat my dinner, especially considering how much it is per person…I’m wasn’t going to be somebody who didn’t get to eat it or wasn’t hungry. So between the sweetheart table and my decision to eat it all even if it killed me, I am so happy with our meal! Bobby definitely cleaned his plate too!

Towards the end of dinner it was time for toasts. I was actually only planning on the Best Man, Matron of Honor, and my Dad speaking but it was definitely more than that. No one said anything until the day of…and I wasn’t going to say ‘no’ or stress myself out about it, so I just rolled with the punches. First was the best man, followed by my Maid & Matron of honor, my brother, my stepdad, and my dad. You could say it ran a little long, lol. All of the speeches were really good, but my brothers stood out the most. He is a real joker and sarcastic guy, doesn’t take life seriously whatsoever…and can sometimes be goofy or rub people the wrong way, so to say that everyone was a little worried about what he was going to say when he walked up there is an understatement! (Think The Hangover, lol) He shocked us all when his speech was poised, serious, heartfelt and tender. We’ve been through some rough patches in our childhood, but no matter what we were always in it together and I think that bond has created something for us neither one of us realized until very recently. His speech made me ball! I even cried when I watched our video! BAHAH

b9c83fb5.jpg

We mingled a bit and then hit the dance floor. DJ Charles put both Bobby and I on the spot when he asked for all of the ladies to form a circle around him, and guys around me for a dance off of sorts…it was interesting and super embarrassing! We were good sports and played along. Then it was back to normal dancing…well as normal as we can haha.

My shameful circle…

A little later DJ Charles Miles actually gave his turntables to my friend, Cali. She’s always super outgoing (and obviously gorgeous) and I think he took a liking to her…as did all of the young men at the wedding! LOL Somehow she managed to hold down the fort while he ran off somewhere..im sure it was a joke and we all had a good time with it!

He shoved some in my face after we pinky promised we wouldn’t!! So I did it right back to him…that liar! Grrr. The cake was delicious!! We had Chocolate with Peanut Butter Cup filling and Traditional white cake with Bavarian Cream & Strawberry filling….YUM! So many people liked the chocolate cake, it was a shock to them because it’s not your normal cake flavors…they were pleasantly surprised. And it was GOOD!

We danced a little more and before we knew it, it was time to leave! We were tired, sweaty, and ready to crash. Lisa had everything packed up and helped my parents take it out to their cars while a bunch of us talked a bit more and stood around. Eventually they started breaking stuff down around us and we got the hint, lol. A bunch of our family and friends went out to Jellyrolls and had a blast, (finally they see what I’ve been talking about since I’ve been legally allowed to drink!) while we went back to our room and slept. We had a long day of driving to Miami and checking in to our cruise, so we wanted our beauty sleep. We both were SO ready to sleep when we got back! I had to get Bobbys help with my dress, since it was lace up. He figured it out rather quickly, and I stepped out of the dress. When I did it just stayed put…like a cupcake would. It just stood up as if someone was in it…he really got a kick out of that! Hahaha

We opened our cards and read our guest book, set the alarm for SUPER early and went to bed. Our fairy tale wedding had come true! :cloud9:

Overall our day was PERFECT. It was everything I had hoped for and dreamed of. Bobby whole-heartedly agrees that DFTW was a great choice! His parents (the previous naysayers) are still talking about how wonderful it was! As much trouble and confusion we went through including catching hell for timing, location, money, etc, etc, I absolutely would not change a thing. I have zero regrets about our wedding and I know for a fact if I would have compromised on something that meant so much to me, like DFTW, I wouldn’t be able to look back and say I don’t have any regrets. And that’s a beautiful thing!

So thats our wedding. I am really sad that the TR is over...kind of a weird feeling!

I wanted to thank everybody on the boards that helped me through the process...it was a long and intense one and without everybody here I dont know how I would have fared. And I can guarantee that our wedding would not have been as wonderfully amazing without everyone here! Ive got so many ideas and help from you all throughout these past few years and I am ever so grateful!

Thanks again, DisBrides! I love you all! :grouphug:
