My inside source just sent me a list of locations Disney Development Corp has for the next 10(!) DVC locations. I'm not 100% sure how accurate the list is, but I bet at least part of it is close:

1) Contemporary Resort Villas

2) Grand Californian Villas

3) Disney's Hawaiian Villas (don't get too excited - read the rest) at the Polynesian Resort (they are converting the Hawaii longhouse)

4) Grand Floridian Villas (the entire Sugarloaf building will be converted)

5) Villas on the Disney Magic

6) Villas on the Disney Wonder

7) "Ship 4" Villas (entire unnamed cruise ship will be DVC)

8) Pirates of the Caribbean Villas (on the old Discovery Island)

9) Floating Seven Seas Lagoon Villas (one of the SSL ferryboats will be converted to a timeshare cruise ship)

10) Villas on the Disney Monorail (the "green" train will be converted to DVC)

Here are my interests.

1 - Not currently interestd.
2 - VERY interested
3 - Not curerntly interested.
4 - Not currently interested.
5 & 6 - Very intriquing.
7 - Even more intriguing
8 - Yes, but transportation and parking. I might have to buy a boat and then have to pay docking fees to Disney, could get very expensive.
9 - Now your getting silly
10 - Over the edge, POR FA VOR!!!

Villas on the Disney monorail? Floating seven seas lagoon villas?

Nah, not buying that, literally and figuratively, one bit.

There is nada on that list that I would buy and very little that I would probably want to stay at.

The Poly really sounds bad.... Let's get real that building is 30 plus years old..... Unless they just tear it down... (which I think they would have too...)

(I am also pretty sure your "source" is just watching to see what's going on. At least half of those are "junke" and not going to happen!)

They all sound intriguing (the MONORAIL too far-fetched) but we would certainly consider the top 8 ideas. Poly and Grand Floridian are most appealing, but we have never been on a Disney cruise yet, so it may rank right up there!!

We'll see what happens!

I was afraid I'd be the only one. Oh, well-that doesn't eliminate the desire for add-ons. We'll just add on at OKW and HHI instead of anywhere new.

Interesting list. I have a couple of comments.

One -- it's a little surprising that the entire list is basically "onsite," meaning DVC's within existing Disney facilities. I wonder what happened to the idea of branching out to "offsite" locales like Colorado, Hawaii, etc. I think the approach listed here makes more sense; I always thought they'd learned their lessons from VB and HHI. But was just wondering what happened to some of the other ideas.

Two -- Like everything else, the devil is in the details. Personally, when they start building monorail and cruise DVCs, I think I can see DVC III and DVC IV coming -- with significantly higher per point buyin costs, dues, and points requirements/costs...and possibly not accessible by DVC I & II owners (?).

It's interesting to wish and wonder though.

I would DEFINITELY go for a DVC at the Grand Cali in DL (as long as it actually stays with the theme and architecture of the Grand Cali). The Pirates of the Caribbean theme DVC sounds interesting but would definitely want to see plans and details before I were to get in a buying mood.

How dare you insult the Poly
May the Tiki Gods haunt your home resort

Wondering if this is the same source tht said the DDP:rotfl2: will change..

But any how I will take 7 lol:banana:

good luck this rumor should start a world wind fighht lol:eek:

You had me going there for a bit.:lmao: I almost jumped out of my seat on #3. We'd be there so fast!

I can see #9. "Today our port of call is the impressive WL. Tomorrow it is on to FW where you can enjoy a horseback ride through the woods followed by a dinner show."

Sounds like your "inside source" might be a crazy little voice in your head, not an actual person :rotfl2: You had me on the first 4 :)

I hope there will be a guaranteed booking category for "fireworks view" rooms! :lmao: Maybe they will just turn the boat every other night so everyone gets a good view of "Wishes" from their room on alternate nights.

Great post, salmoneous!!

Such a downer. What's the point in buying at the Poly or GF if you can't stay at BCV?

this is all a big joke - right?

because those bottom one are down right strange.

I though the Hawaii building was the concierge for the Polyn and stayed almost sold out? so that doesn't make sense either.

now if you had say Tahiti - then I might be a believer.

the rumor I heard was the next one won't be at WDW.
