Last April I started walking up to one of those, mistaking it for a fastpass kiosk. My sister still laughs about how I stood there sanitizing my hands, pretending that’s what I meant to do all along. Maybe I was deliriously sick
there would be about 99% I would be in the hospital if I got the flue. but if you are this worried then do not go to Disney during flu season stay home and go some other time. Here is a question for all of you. If you had a huge Disney trip planned and the day before you leave, you or your child comes down with flu. Do you still go to Disney?

What are they going to do to determine the difference between say, a hang over and the flu?Well the question is if Disney will refuse someone showing Flu symptoms.
Truer words have never been "typed". I have been a huge believer and user of Zinc for several years. It's not tasty but I have avoided many colds by starting it the moment I felt symptoms. It works. Please believe me when I give the following advice—
If you want to avoid getting sick, don’t touch your eyes or nose with your fingers. If you really need to touch either, wrap a tissue around your finger so no skin comes in contact with them.
Wash your hands well just before and after you eat. Do not share food or drinks with other people.
Cold and flu viruses enter your body through the orifices in your head. Protect them as best you can if you don’t want to get sick. It also helps to get proper rest, nutrition and hydration.
Zinc lozenges like Cold-Ease are good to have on hand if you feel something coming on. You won’t enjoy eating for a few days, but viruses hate the zinc as much as you will.
And remember this—you cannot control what other people do. Folks will be in the parks who aren’t feeling 100%—that’s a fact. Do what you can to protect yourself and good luck.

I am going to tell you a story. I went to Paris . then one day I felt sick . this was in June. I went and lied down . then went to the market with the hotel then felt faint . The hotel quickly sent me back to the hotel. I felt well enough to go to the cooking school. Then I think I felt sick and vomited in the room. We had an Eiffel tour (as in guided) that I went on I literally shat my pants . We went away from the tour. But I still decided to go up to the top of the tower and see the view. You have one shot one shot to do a vacation . My mum spent over 1500 dollars a day. Don't leave with regrets. I would who's going to pay the 50000 dollar vacation back? Insurance? yes 50000. For 21 days. My parents had sweat and tears earning that. being sick is not perfect. But showing a little perseverance never went astray with meJust curious if security/employees will turn away someone who is obviously very sick. With this Flu bug going around, not sure if it's a great idea to visit the parks.
are you willing to pay the hotel, park and food costs that the vacationers occurred during their trip. So they can have another one when they are better.Just curious if security/employees will turn away someone who is obviously very sick. You could always get a flu shot and wash your hands frequently or hermetically seal yourself in your house, but, no Disney is not scanning crowds and detaining people or refusing entry to people who "appear" sick.

The flu shot won't do you any good this year. The best advice is probably for everyone who can get an annual flu shot to get an annual flu shot, especially ahead of any winter and certainly if they go on any vacation where they will be in contact with a lot of people.
No sense in taking chances with a disease when it is easily preventable with a low cost two minute step.
I read that thread too. Of course it is hugely disappointing to have to cancel a trip at the last minute but I wouldn't want to put my sick child through that, nor do I think it's cool to knowingly expose other people to the flu, especially when there is an option to reschedule the trip (as was indicated in that particular thread).Don't blame you for asking this. There is a mom on another thread considering driving her family down to Disney and her 5 year old daughter was just diagnosed with the flu. She said she would put a mask on the sick child for the drive down. I couldn't believe someone would do that to their sick child and not care about exposing so many others.
Especially the other people that were presumably present in the cooking class....gross....I'm sure that all the people you infected are so glad that you value perseverance.
