Stayed 3 nights at SSR and 3 nights at BCV in studios.
Underwhelmed at SSR this trip. Checked in and had a prob with our bands. The cast member actually said it was because we "had too many". Sorry, but we didn't ask for all of them over the last year or so! Had to go back at 0630 the next day in advance of catching the bus for MK rope drop. Thankfully worked fine the duration of the trip.
BCV-loved the room and location. We had a studio that was HA and faced the pool-loved it! Didn't need HA, but didn't mind it either (except for the lack of counter space in the bathroom).
Crowds were not bad at all. We could not really utilize the 4th fastpass for anything worthwhile on any night however. Had dinner at Ohana for the first time and thought it was the best meal of the trip. The poly lobby ended up nice-but underwhelming. With the lack of larger units (sans bungalows) and the changes to the resort I am no longer as sad about not planning to own there now. If there is a phase 2 with larger units it may be a different story. Really missed the extra space this trip!
Used prime pantry for water and it worked perfect. Will definitely use again.
Definitely prefer going the week before Xmas vs the week after. The weather this year was much better also so that helped!
