When we purchased DVC at Boardwalk it was with the intentions of stay at all DVC resorts. Our first trip we did a split 2 Boardwalk 2 Vero and 2 back at Boardwalk. We love Vero and promised to return soon. That was 7 years ago. Each time we book we only want to stay at the Boardwalk.
We just came back from an extended long weekend at Animal Kingdom Kidani (Boardwalk was booked). It was fantastic. Our 1 bedroom villa was Sunset Savanna view. Incredible room, fantastic view. The staff was incredible so friendly and warm. Always ready to answer our questions. I don't mean just answer them I mean give you their full attention. Telling us about their homes and how life here is so different from life there. I always ask people about where they are from.
We were able to go for a Sunrise Safari at Animal Kingdom. Incredible, I recommend it to all. Our guide was a animal care specialist at the lodge. Her passion for her work showed. She knew some of animals by name (former residence of the lodge). Besides being informative she was very entertaining. Our other guide was also very entertaining and informative. After breakfast with us he was off to clean up the savanna.
Our daughter and grandchildren were able to spend a day with us. Our daughter and her family live in the Orlando area. She was so impressed by the resort she plans on booking a weekend. The kid loved the pool and the slide. Because of the zero entry pool our grandson was able to go at his pace and lost his fear of the water (he had his pool survival test the next day, he passed). Back at the room for lunch and a little nap time we put on their favorite movie "Frozen". Each time a new animal would pass by we had to stop the movie and grab the binoculars and cameras and check them out.
We have such great memories and loved every aspect of our trip. On our flight home we recounted all the great things about our trip (forgot to mention our diner at Sana). Almost at the same time we agree "Still love the Boardwalk" we'll be back.
