The $80 parties are in August and September. The date I was looking at is Friday, October 11th (Columbus Day Friday, my kids are off school for 5 days for Fall Break). With an AP, the cost of each ticket in October is $110+tax. Without an AP, it's $115+tax. You come out ahead if you plan 3 of these October visits. I bet this will be attractive to visitors without PH tickets. You can go to a park in the day ad then "hop" to MK for the party at 4pm. I think many will take advantage of these passes.
I am not thrilled about the parties being over capacity. We did not have a great experience in 2017 with the crowds just being cray, and skipped the party last year because of that. This year, I am intrigued by the new fireworks show. It's almost $500 for our family to attend 1 night. I will be watching the reviews closely!
My question is how will this ticket be treated as far as FP media is concerned? Will it be treated as an AP? The APs normally take "precedence" in
MDE over other tickets. Meaning, if you have a 10-day ticket and an AP and you have one or more days of FPs booked without an onsite stay, you will be capped at 7 days, even though you have a 10-day ticket in your account. If this
MNSSHP is treated in MDE as a type of annual pass, it could actually make things worse for those with any FP days booked without an onsite stay.
