Tix During Off Site Stay??

We'll be in the Kissimmee area for 20 days starting Feb 13. We definitely will hit Epcot once, the date depends on the weather forecast. We'll buy the passes on the Disney site but we're not clear on the new rules. Do we have to commit to a park when we buy, we're not hopping? If the Epcot visit is enjoyable we'll probably want to do other parks later on and we're thinking that this time of year there won't be a problem with parks being over booked. We used to be AP people staying at Boardwalk on rented DVC points but we're lost now. Any advice on how to get park passes to get to Epcot and possibly others would be appreciated.

Thanks,

you make the park reservations separately from the park ticket purchase. Park tickets are no longer for a specific park, but for a specific day. Once you have purchased a ticket and linked it to MDE, you would have to book a park reservation for the park you wish to visit. You may want to check reservation availability at your desired park before you purchase the ticket.

Multi day tix are cheaper than one day. Might want to plan your park days somewhat ahead of time so you can buy multi day for cheaper vs one-off tix here and there will be more expensive.

Sure it is cheaper to buy multi-day, but I think a 2 day ticket is only good within a 4 day window, and a 3 day ticket has a 5 day use window. So may not work for spontaneous day's visit here or there.

You can buy your park tickets online -- either through WDW directly or a third-party reseller.
Once you have the tickets listed on MDE, you can make theme park reservations for Epcot (or other parks) online. Right now, theme park reservations look to be available for all parks for your dates, but be aware of Presidents' Day which then leads into school break for many northeast schools and then Mardi Gras and then early spring breaks in early March.

A 2 day ticket is only slightly cheaper, and multi-day tickets need to be used up within a certain time of first use, so that would really work best if you wanted to make all your park visits shortly after first use.

Thanks for the replies. We're using the Epcot visit to test the waters, a lot of our WDW enthusiasm has dimmed with Covid and the rule changes, we've averaged a trip per year since 1999 last set foot in a park in Feb 2020 just before the spit hit the fan. If we enjoy Epcot maybe we'll pick up 3 more to do the others.
