In April, I was in Singapore so I decided to take a trip (solo) to Universal Studios. The last time I was at any Universal park was in 1994 or 95 visiting both California and Orlando so most of the rides that are now similar were not there at the time. I bought the unlimited express pass because this was probably going to be my one and only time ever at the park. It wasn't too expensive and I didn't want to spend anytime in lines. With the pass, I was able to do most of the rides and a few of my favorites multiple times including Transformers 3 or 4 times.
One of my favorite parts of the park was the food. I had fried squid on a stick, some noodle bowls and maybe a few Tiger beers. I wouldn't mind coming back to this park just to try out all the food options.
Having been to Disney parks many times, I really value theming which this park had but not as well done as what I enjoy at Disney. From a ride perspective, I would say Cylon and Transformers would be right in the mix of favorite rides in a list of my favorite Universal and Disney rides combined.
The are
Best rides:
Battlestar Gallactica Cylon
Transformers
Mummy
Disappointing ride:
Jurassic Park
Best food:
Fried squid on a stick
The closeness to a casino = A+
