I assume not, but has anyone heard an update on the military discounts after 9/30?
Ive been wondering too.. weren't they announced around this time last year?
I called today and booked out 5th anniversary trip for 10 nights.
I then had to call ticketing because DH and I are FL residents, but when he got home from Korea in order to get his line badge here in SD he HAD to get a SD drivers license.
The lady flat out told me it's going to happen and we can get the military and not fiddle with the FL resident business. She couldn't SAY, but she was saying not to worry.
Based on the fact that they just started the new ad campaign about hiring veterans, don't you think that would go hand-in-hand with offering the military discounts?
I don't know about that, but I don't think they would hold off until the end of the year. Their fiscal year end is 9/30/2012 and it's usually around that time frame or just after that the announcement is usually made.
They also offered a discount on MNSSHP and MVMCP, so I would think they would extend it based on that, but only Disney knows
We are going to use our last set of tickets at the beginning of Sept and a room only discount, just in case.
Us too. My husband wanted to wait until around Christmas, but I'm not taking my chances. We have three tickets left to use and a 40% discount, by goodness we're going to use them while the gettin' is good.
Yeah, I just need to get in one more trip. My in-laws ruined our trip last month, so DH and I are making it up.
If there is no extension, this will be our last trip until next June and I don't want to wait that long. To extend it would mean more money in Disney's pocket, but it's their choice!
This is our DD's last year as a Disney "kid" so this will be our last trip for a while, at least until they complete HP 2.0 in 2014, and even then we'll probably stay on site at Universal or at Shades of Green. It's time to venture on to other places next year, possibly Hawaii. I think it sucks that they consider a 10 year old an adult, but it's their business.
