Vero Beach at 7 months

DH and I are taking a 14 day trip in 2015. We have 7 nights at BLT followed by Disney Cruise. We plan on driving (ugh) as our cruise is out of Miami. We would like to book Friday May 1 at VBR. I will book BLT or SSR as soon as our window opens but would love to move it to VBR. Do we have a shot at all or is that a packed time of year? It's just the 2 of us so we would take a studio or Inn room. TIA!
