Gail, I just was in touch with someone from the old Prodigy days. I'm glad to see some of us "old dvc'ers" are still around. Still have the hard hat? We should get a thread about remember when and see what we can come up with from the early days. Remember Cleary's Tree?

Agreed, the history addresses only the "New Resort Selling Price" and is missing both incentive data and prices for "sold out" resorts.

Here is a more recent thread with a compilation of reported pricing. Since this is compiled from recollections reported on this site, it is definitely not an "official" listing , but it should provide a close idea of pricing for DVC resorts over the past 16 years.

September 1, 2007 -- AKV opens as part of main AKL resort - Jambo House. (Original opening - was moved up to July)

In August of '92 the price was NOT $54.50, it was $51. For absolutely certain.

Sorry Richyams, you are wrong.

We bought July 25th, 1992, and the cost was $12,535.00 for 230 points, or $54.50/point. I'm looking at the documents right now.

Don't have any idea about the pricing, but the mention of Richyams brings back some great memories. His posts were always fun to read. He would still up the boards and incite the non-OKW owners. If his family still read the boards I hope they know that he is definitely missed.

It was like I went back, way back with Gail and Richyams....and then after you wrote that I thought OMG I forgot......I hope Richyams family is doing well, always loved his spunk!

June of $95 HHI was still available at the preopening rate of $56.50 (but no free park tickets) with a 210 point minimum....we bought at OKW at $60.00 that same month (with free tickets) there was a 150 point minimum...I think the regular rate was $62.50 but part of a special sales promotion included a cash back thing that brought the price down to $60/point
