heading to florida for 16 nights in august. never been in the summer. i believe it rains everyday mid afternoon( not sure how long for but i dont think long)

we are staying at the beach club. was thinking would it work well to head over to a water park when it starts raining and have a very quiet water park. how late fo they open at the end of august?

First thing I'd say is that it's not true at all that it rains every day mid afternoon. We are many, many time summer veterans, love going in summer. We're lucky enough to have trips as long as yours...17 park days. We've had trips where it did rain every afternoon for 10 days straight. But we've also had trips where it didn't rain in the afternoon for 10 days straight. Last summer we had that. It poured the first two park days we had, sometime around 5pm. Then we went nearly the entire rest of the trip with no afternoon rain whatsoever, only at the very end. It may rain overnight, very early in the morning, later in the evening or not at all. So definitely don't count on it raining every day between 1-5pm. It may or may not happen.

Water parks are usually open until 8pm during the summer. Rain or not, they start to clear out around 4pm. If it's just rain, they don't close, and many people will stay. If it's a t-storm, then people will often leave.

The water parks are awesome, you'll love them!!
