Friday December 8- Sunny, high of 80 (of course. we were leaving.) :)

After about 4 hours of sleep, I got up to pack. I really didn't buy too much and I had an extra suitcase so packing was a breeze. Just tossed it all in. We hugged and kissed everyone goodbye
and we were on our way.

Our flight was leaving at 11am so we planned on being at the Airport by 10. Everything was on time, smooth, and we got home at 5pm. I was not afraid of flying this time. I wonder if it had anything to do with those two kungalooshes?

Some random observations about the week:

If it wasn't for Abby getting hurt and me getting sick, this was by far the most fun I've ever had on vacation. I really missed meeting any DISers, next time for sure!

Premier vacation homes was a great company to go with. The house was very clean, spacious, and we loved having so much room. It was close to everything but far enough away to be out of the craziness. The neighborhood was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop.

Donna and Helm were a delight. I was worried because they seemed so uninterested before the trip. They were open to do anything, and had a great time. They really loved it and can't wait to go again. They were polite house guests and we got along with them so well! They are also very funny people and had me laughing all the time.

Disney World was definitely more crowded this week than it was at the same time last year. Utilizing fastpass was the only way to go.

I am more in love with this place than I was before and I'm trying to devise a plan to get back again next year. Even getting sick, overall I felt better there than I have here in a long time! I'll have to work on Bob about this.....

I owe a lot of this trips success to all of the people on this site. The information gleaned from everything I've read here proved to be invaluable. My friends could not believe how much "in the know" I was. It made everything so easy. So Thankyou everyone for my great vacation!!

I'm glad you guys had a great trip. How is Abby's cut doing?

Thanks for all of the great info, Sue. :)

Lisa, Abbys cut is looking pretty good. The swelling has finally gone down and she can open her eye. Its still quite purple, but is turning a prett shade of yellow! ;) We will be taking her tomorrow to have the doc check it out. I'm praying that she won't need any additional surgery or anything.....

My extended family of seven stayed at Premier Homes in October and found having a house to be the most wonderful experience. There's nothing like being able to spread out when you've got the kids.

It's much more relaxing and you can escape. We had coffee by the pool every morning and sipped soda and beer poolside in the evening.

Since you arrived so late, did you have to add your friends names to the reservation so they could get into the house before you arrived?

We are staying at Premier again in August, but won't be arriving until after the registration office is closed. We're meeting friends from Texas, and they may arrive before us, so it would be convenient if they could settle in first.

Any other advice for friends vacationing together?

CDisney, I put my friends name on the contract and they made up two packets. Whoever gets there first has to put down the security deposit.

The only advice I have is to be flexible. I had to slow down considerably for our friends to keep up with me. I tend to be a commando tourer and they were anything but. It also helps to have a sense of humor and let the little problems slide right off your back.

BY FAR the most fun you've ever had on vacation?!! Gee, thanks, sister! I'll remember you the next time we go down to our wonderful timeshare INSIDE Disney!

Just kidding!! I'm glad you had a great time and you did a great job on your trip report considering you didn't want to write one. ;)

Oh Polly, you know you don't count.... how did I know you'd pick up on that? lol. Don't forget I have gone on tons of vacations without you and I was probably comparing this time to those, not the ones we went on with you! Now, when exactly were you going again?! ;) :D

Thanks for sharing all your experiences. You really know how to make lemonade from lemons! I hope your next trip is less detrimental to your family's health :) You deserve nothing but excitement of the truly fun variety the next time - you paid your dues!

Sounds (for the most part) you had a wonderful time. Thanks for posting!
