it can also depend on the time of year you are going. So the day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday and those sales were stellar - even the discount outlets were slashing their prices.
My fav is the premium outlets Vineland - right near WDW. I have always found several things I am very happy with. Including the Lindt outlet shop moved into there from the Lake Buena Vista outlets (which I found no other bargain/use for and have stopped going).
if it is sale time then places like the Mall at Millenia have been very cheap for brands and I have found huge discounts in Tiffany, Pandora, Sony.
I took a group of 7 middle aged women this year and they went nuts over the Vineland outlet mall. they kept going back "just want to have a look for .... " "I wanna get 7 more pairs of ....." and between us we found bargains on all kinds of stuff - you name it, these chicks bought it and felt they had a bargain. 3 of them got watches marked down from $1200 to $300; and I got a silk jacket from $1400 down to $400, and a Ted Baker men's blazer from $500 for $110. Skechers were bought in bulk, USA label makeup and cosmetics. The Clarins outlet shop is marginally cheaper but they do have a bargain bin. Vera Bradley always has sale items. Coach bags outlet always has sales.
the things that I have found are not that much better than online/Australia during sales include:
Lego (although The Wall at DTD is to die for if you are 11); English/European products (I look at my english dinner service and it is cheaper online. Le Crueset is cheap but how to carry home?); eye wear/glasses frames - much better here in Canberra; Crabtree & Evelyn in Australia is matching prices in their online outlet store; Disney products in WDW - the outlet Disney shop is worth visiting. can you tell we are rather focused on shopping?
I have also loved shopping at Winter Park - but that is more specialist / up market goods and not what i would call a bargain.
