Hi everyone,

I'm super excited about the bargains I hope to grab whilst in Orlando, I'm wondering where the best places you have found for great bargains?

I have a handbag & candle obsession, DH is after sports shoes, DS loves Lego and we won't have a problem finding princesses for DD

Honestly I've never really looked for bargains, because everything over there is a bargain compared to here! :lmao:

Having said that, I really enjoyed the Orlando Premium Outlets on International Drive (there's another one on Vineland, but we didn't get there) I found the prices there were a lot better than at Florida Mall.

I had forgotten the name of the mall we visited, so I googled it to help me remember and this page came up - http://www.10best.com/destinations/florida/orlando/shopping/shopping-centers-districts/

Really handy! :thumbsup2

Thank you! I'm trying to hold back from buying anything here just so I can stock up at the outlets :-)

That website is great! Thanks for that.

Sharonco We went on 2012 and the Outlet shopping is fantastic, The Premium outlet on I-Drive was great and had plenty of everything, we also found some awesome buys at Walmart, our best buys were Lee jeans really nice fit, lovely denim and USD20 a pair, they are still my favorites, although hubby got Levi 501s for USD25.
There was a beautiful candle shop - American Candle I think it was smelt devine, also scored sneakers for all (dd was 8 and ds 15) no problems sorting everybody and at prices that make you cry, had to stop my son at 6 pairs I dont know what he thought was going on, and Orlando was the first stop on our 7 week trip.... Try looking at Zappo's for online ordering they post back to Oz, based in KY. Hope you enjoy your trip, we are just planning our return.... Cant wait

The outlets have disney stores. So definitely go there if you need presents! your friends won't know stuff didn't come from the parks!

I can't recommend Walgreens and drug stores enough. I've managed to get revlon cosmetics for more than 70% off. Walmart has these but sometimes they are tricky to get to!

If you go to the outlets, make sure to sign up online cause you get an extra discount book. and when you get to the outlets the info desk has another set of coupons! It's worth it.

I did both premium outlets. can't remember which one was better. They had slightly different stores. But their discounts are very good.
I think we managed to score lots of bargains at Fossil - like two watches for around $70. Both retailing for $150 + here and sunglasses that are at the DFO here for $70 but were around $20 there.

The nike outlet was good - we bought shoes for my mum that are around $200-300 at athlete's foot for like $40! and the converse were only $30 by the time we used a coupon.

They should have a candle store at least at one of the outlets.

Also if you are a costco member here you can go to Costco there. Not sure if you'll need stuff in bulk but it's just nice to know.

When I was there in 2012 I hired a car by myself for a day and took myself Around all the best shopping in the Orlando area. I also have a handbag and runner obsession so I definitely looked for those bargains.

My FAVORITE outlets were definitely the premium outlets. I did one not too far from DTD and one on international drive. I also took myself to another normal shopping centre where I checked out Maceys & the normal shops. I didn't end up buying anything here though cause it was not so much of a bargain as the outlets.

As a handbag lover I loved Coach and got myself 3 handbags. Be sure to pick up the vouchers at the front door which give u extra discounts. I got 3 handbags for about $500 Aussie and one was the real Coach logo, not made for the outlets which most bags in the outlets were. U check out the badge and the ones with carriage are usually the real deal.

If u like Guess then u can always grab bargain sunnies usually for less than $50 each. Think I got 2 for us$80 this time which were both about $200 each here.

I paid less than $150us for Asics nimbus which are over $250 here in Oz. Plus got the kids scetchers for less than $35 each usually $80 plus here in Oz.

The outlets had Disney Stores to to grab your DD a bargain.

I also made a trip via target where u can find heaps of bargains. The makeup is soooo cheap there like $6 for lLoreal mascara which is about $27 here.... It's amazing how much u can save on makeup.

Hope u can grab yourself a few bargains :)

it can also depend on the time of year you are going. So the day after Thanksgiving is Black Friday and those sales were stellar - even the discount outlets were slashing their prices.
My fav is the premium outlets Vineland - right near WDW. I have always found several things I am very happy with. Including the Lindt outlet shop moved into there from the Lake Buena Vista outlets (which I found no other bargain/use for and have stopped going).
if it is sale time then places like the Mall at Millenia have been very cheap for brands and I have found huge discounts in Tiffany, Pandora, Sony.
I took a group of 7 middle aged women this year and they went nuts over the Vineland outlet mall. they kept going back "just want to have a look for .... " "I wanna get 7 more pairs of ....." and between us we found bargains on all kinds of stuff - you name it, these chicks bought it and felt they had a bargain. 3 of them got watches marked down from $1200 to $300; and I got a silk jacket from $1400 down to $400, and a Ted Baker men's blazer from $500 for $110. Skechers were bought in bulk, USA label makeup and cosmetics. The Clarins outlet shop is marginally cheaper but they do have a bargain bin. Vera Bradley always has sale items. Coach bags outlet always has sales.
the things that I have found are not that much better than online/Australia during sales include: Lego (although The Wall at DTD is to die for if you are 11); English/European products (I look at my english dinner service and it is cheaper online. Le Crueset is cheap but how to carry home?); eye wear/glasses frames - much better here in Canberra; Crabtree & Evelyn in Australia is matching prices in their online outlet store; Disney products in WDW - the outlet Disney shop is worth visiting. can you tell we are rather focused on shopping?

I have also loved shopping at Winter Park - but that is more specialist / up market goods and not what i would call a bargain.
