Aprincess72 Wedding TR! SBP/Raglan Road/Illuminations DP -Complete! Photo link added!

I got that shirt too! We invited people out to MK ad EPCOT with us the day after our wedding so I got that shirt to wear that day! And I had to wear my bride ears too! :goodvibes

I only wore my bride ears part of the time. They were giving me a headache!
I wore them every day at Disneyland because I stretched them out for a day first!

i'm not a star wars fan at all but I LOVE The reinactment of the star wars poster!!! hotness!

you should have bought a princess leia costume for the honeymoon and wore it like rachel did for ross in friends! haha. :rotfl2:

LMAO!!!
I hope DH doesn't read that! I might lose points!

Yay! I had two updates to read today!! Now I have tons of (OK, two) questions about the dessert party in Morocco:

1) Is it true you can't have chairs, just high-top tables to stand at? If they did let you have chairs, did it cost extra?

2) How good is the view of Illuminations from Morocco? It seems so far... like another instance of the red-headed stepchild treatment that Intimate brides get....

That was actually three questions. Sorry! :rotfl:

Oh wait! I have another question!

3/4) Were you allowed to walk into Epcot from the International Gateway in your dress for the dessert party? Everything I read says if I wanna wear my dress, I have to be taken backstage in a limo/bus/van/Mack Truck etc....

Thanks!

Hopefully I will have another update soon! Thanks for reading!! This is super fun and is keeping me busy from going through planning withdrawl!

1. It is true about the chairs as far as I know. I requested two chairs for my grandfather and MIL. There is quite a bit of wall there to sit on so that was nice. No one really seemed to mind since getting up from a chair really slows you down getting to the dessert bar quickly! HAHA

2. I think the view from Morocco isn't bad. I went down and watched Illuminations before I scheduled the location. Not that I was given any other options mind you. Since everyone pretty much gets a front place spot to view it they all thought it was great. I think there is something else to be said for having a private spot. Everyone feels special and it is really magical!

3. I was allowed to be escorted in from International Gateway. My understanding was as long as you have an escort while you are in your dress that's all that matters. I could not leave my dessert party unescorted at all. Luckily I didn't have to go to the bathroom!
I don't know if the transportation thing depends on your party size or what.

I really can't believe I forgot to add this to my wedding day post!

When DH and I got back to our room we had a special delivery. Apparently a little birdie told Mickey that we got married that day. Mickey sent us a very special picture and autograph. There wasn't just one but there were two actually. One autographed picture to congratulate DH & I but another from Mickey just for me. Now I made it through this entire darn day without breaking down and crying. I'm a cryer... I cry at everything (especially magical Disney stuff!) so DH was pretty amazed I made it through everything without getting weepy.
So here come the tears. I happened to tell someone just how incredibly special Disney was to me because I had spent quite a deal of time there with my grandmother. Before she died, she wrote me a book. That book was full of stories about times we spent together. One of the stories tells how we were sitting and waiting for the parade when I was about 5 years old. I ran to my grandmother and told her that I needed her to brush my hair in case Mickey saw me. From then on my grandmother would always brush my hair before I saw Mickey.
In this envelope I find a picture to me from Mickey. It says "Amber, I can't believe how you have grown up! I remember seeing you here with your grandmother when you were little"
I can't even type this without balling! There are no words that I can write that will say just how much that meant to me. I didn't think I could make it through my wedding day without my grandmother. That little gift from "Mickey" was a truly magical gift.

DH just read this whole thread for the first time. He said his feelings are a little hurt that everyone complimented how I looked but no one complimented how he looked... :rotfl2:
so could someone please...... :lmao:

This story brought tears to my eyes as it is amazing the magic Disney bestows on it's guests! Cherish that pic the rest of your life! :hippie: l

I'm new to your TR, but you're wedding sounds like it was so beautiful and romantic. The bobblehead idea is the cutest thing ever!
And, I really don't believe that you're 35. I thought you were in your early 20's until you said that!!
