Verified AAA rates really are out. . here's my rates

Okay I went back to my reservation and this is what I have (copied and pasted)

Cancellation: 100.00 Percent Of Day Of Arrival Ratex1
Cancel By 6pm 13aug08 Local Property Time To Avoid Penalties

So as long as I cancel before 6 pm on August 13th I am okay....right?

Oh and while I have the attention of people using AAA rates.....can I call and request a specific room or area? Can the hotel reservationists see my reservation even though I booked it through the AAA website? Can I add my Loews first number for any benefits or do AAA not get them? and lastly... ARE THERE AAA RATES ON CABANAS LOL (jk)

Yes, you can call and put in any request you want. If you are a Loews First member, you should call and add your number to your reservation so you get the perks and AAA is a qualifying stay.

Wouldn't it be lovely if we could get AAA rates on cabanas :wizard: If only. .

HRH - Jan 16-21 - obstructed view with CAA rate - $183 that's only $12/night more than my original ressie at RPR  (Just hope I made the right decision in switching to HRH!)

I called the resort directly and my rate would be 207.40 (regular room) for 7/8 - 7/11/2008 at RPR.

was that the AAA rate cause online I was looking at 7-6 to 7-11-08 and it said 228.00 a night:confused3

Mine was the AAA rate via loews reservations. My local AAA has obviously not uploaded their yet though...

I called and was told that they are not offering any AAA rates for my date (3/29). She said it was too popular of a time. The cheapest I could get was $355 for an obstructed room. Has anyone found a cheaper rate for this time?

Easter in 2008 is early. . . March 23. . . . so the few weeks before and after are going to be very busy with spring break. Since this is peak season, it is doubtful any of the hotels will offer discounts. That was our issue too. We were going to have to go during spring break, but our district decided it was too soon after the 2 week winter break and didn't include a spring break in our 2007-2008 school year :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 Since we had already planned spring vacation, and it is the only time of the year my dh can take time off due to his employment, we decided to take our kids out of school for our own spring break, but we were able to plan around Easter and traditional spring break weeks. We are now going at the end of april/beginning of May and it has made a significant difference in the prices. So, unfortunately, I think you are going to be stuck with those ridiculous rates. We had decided it would be worth it anyway.

I booked the AAA rates at RPH for my weekend dates in June 08 (13-16) directly thru the Universal website for a an average daily rate of 215. Now I'm hoping they go down even further, but that's probably just a wish.

I called up about my dates...Feb 13th- Feb 18th. (I already had reservations including two adult park tickets per room)...I was told that in order to get the AAA rate (for that time period)...We would have to have one king bed (instead of two queens), no park tickets included, and more expensive rooms...So...since it would end up costing me more...I'm staying with what I have...:confused3

I was told AAA rate for June will not be out until November.

Universal could lose a lot of business to the Mouse if they don't start offering discount rates.:confused3

Huh? Disney doesn't often release "codes" 6 months in advance. Or AP rates. Do you honestly think that the Loews Orlando hotels are going to lose to the Mouse based solely on them not releasing AAA rates more than 6 months in advance?

I was told AAA rate for June will not be out until November.

I think you need to call back and talk to someone who knows what they are talking about. I have a ressie for late August and got AAA.

First, I'm not sure who "told" you AAA for June won't be out till November because I have AAA rate booked for June AND July....so, your "source of info" is incorrect (a lot of others have posted they also booked AAA for next June)

I don't think Universal is going to lose a "lot" of business to the mouse over rates..... For one, the onsite hotels at Universal are much better value than Disney deluxes..... I think Universal offers MORE discounts than WDW and earlier too....You can make your res at any time and call back to have the AAA or other discount 'code' applied.....

Bubbasmom is right I got the AAA rate for rpr for july 6-11 for 228.00 a night and that was for 5 and for 4 it was 207.00 a night so we are trying to figure in all the things we need to see if we can afford it.:cool1:
