Had so much fun with everyone on Saturday and great meeting some new people who are going on the Panama. We really want to go, but it won't work unfortunately. Scott, thanks for planning that. We REALLY didn't want to leave, but work played a part - yuck! Elderfam, Jonathan is beautiful. We talked about him all the way home. How lucky your family is and how lucky we were to have seen you. Looking forward to more visitors to the Orlando area.:cool1: :cool1:

By the way, Deb, I was sorry to hear about your ankle. If you need help getting to OffKilter, I will be here, just let me know. Anna - congrats and let us know how it works out.

Well I am still on crutches:sick: Dr said about 2 weeks on them. UGGHH!!

I am in an airsplint (which I got the bill for today... $90!! and $55 for the crutches!! thank goodness for insurance) and I wear it during the day and take it off to sleep.

Dr recommended that I soak it in warm water. Well! That was a new experience in pain!! :scared: I think it was getting the circulation moving...but man alive I was sucking down the Motrin!:scared1:

Not sure I will do that again.. or maybe soak it in warm water then an ice bath.

Anyone have experience with this??!

And...4 weeks till WDW.....

Debbie

Debbie, sorry to hear about your fall. Been there, done that! I missed the last step a couple of years ago and ended up breaking two bones in my foot. In the first 24 hours use ice to reduce the swelling. After that you want heat. It improves circulation and circulation improves healing. The other thing that really helps is to keep it elevated as much as possible. I would sleep with my foot on a pillow, but also during the day, if you can keep your foot up on a chair or something, it really does help. And yes, motrin is your friend. :wizard: for speedy healing.

Of course, for real expert advice, you need to talk to Kathy (littleowensmommy). Remember her "double" right before the Transatlantic?

I hope everyone is doing well. We are excited about seeing Erik & Jason and others this weekend. Thanks Kelly for organizing dinner!

The mom-taxi needs to go now - third (and last!) run to the pool for the day to pick up DD13 from swim practice. :car: If only the mom-taxi really was a convertible ... oh yeah, then I couldn't fit a car seat, 4 swimmers and all their gear bags in ... wears the minivan smilie?

Congratulations, Anna! Way to Go!! :cool1:

Happy Belated Birthday, Scott!:yay:

Debbie, we hope you are feeling better and enjoying the pain relievers!

Eric and Jason Enjoy Your Trip to SoCal!

Happy Belated Halloween! DD was Hanna Montana on Halloween but was Princess Aurora at Calif Adventure. We can't believe that we had such Great Trick o Treating Weather, no rain or snow for the first time in 5 years. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Today is my mother's 80th birthday and my cousin is flying from Salem, OR to surprise her. We are going to have some nice weather this weekend for her visit.

DeAnn flyboy had an overnight in Rockford, IL! It was a short overnight, 9 hours on the ground just enough to eat and sleep before getting up again...

Kelly I feel the same way we turned around and we didn't see you. We let the girls dance for a while there and then went around the park. DD loved dancing in the parade at the end. She is off of school for 4 works starting on Nov.9 so we are trying to plan something for while she is out. Flyboy wants to see WDW decorated for Christmas but I don't think it will be up before Thanksgiving. I told him that I will not fly around Thanksgiving unless its an emergency and decorations are not an emergency.

DD had a long weekend last weekend so I took her and my parents down to Zion National Park and Bryce National Park! The weather was nice down there and we had a great time!

OK Off to the airport to pickup the birthday surprise! Beautiful Weather here again today!

The Christmas season has officially arrived at Epcot. I had candlelight choir practice (my 9th practice - 1 more to go) and while I was there I saw lights. I couldn't believe it - the 2 big Christmas trees are up and lit. It is only November 2. They get decorations up earlier and earlier. The winter street of
lights is not up yet. The choir sounds good. All of you going to Candlelight are in for a treat. The first program will be in 20 days.

Hope all of you in California enjoy your get-together. Sounds like FUN:cool1: :cool1:

Jeff and I had such a nice surprise at Epcot last week. :wizard:
We ran into a Disboard mini meet!
We had some great news to share with everyone we saw and thought it was time to share it here as well. Our dream of adopting finally came true! :cloud9: We have a new son named Jonathan!
We had planned on attending the food and wine festival with family and friends so when our son arrived we thought it was a great way for them all to meet our perfect bundle of joy! He was born the end of Sept which gave us time to practice the "no sleep" routine.:rotfl: ha ha ha
He was such a good travel companion we look forward to our first cruise together as a family next may. Here is a photo of our little man...

Hey Debbie I just thought, you could tie your leg up and get a peg leg for Pirate Night

Can't believe it, Rob and I will finally be heading to Disney World (our 2nd time together, and only my 3rd EVER) Friday night. Finally! This six month wait since the last vacation, our amazing Transatlantic Cruise, seems to have taken forever. But now it's only 3 days away!

Thought some of you might enjoy this YouTube video I posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ujmHl8NHzQ
It's from our vacation DVD that we painstakingly have been putting together for the past month. Unfortunately it did not upload very clear at all, but it's still watchable. 2 minutes into it there are some Disboarders who seem to be having the times of their lives!! Hope you enjoy it if you watch it!!

Oh that is so great!!!!

Have a wonderful trip to WDW!

Debbie

Thanks Debbie, we will! P.S.--did you know that is you and the mother in the darker shadowy blurry picture taken from the atrium floor and you guys are on the upper level?! We will think of you when we're at Epcot!
