Yeah, I can relate to that as well! I knew I was in for trouble when he started gassing me! I already had to contend not only with DH but DD as well! :lmao: The ferret and I are the only "not so gassy" ones in the house! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I LOVE the butt groping smiley :lmao:

:goodvibes Going shopping to pick up scrapbook supply. AC Morre is having a sale and dh is telecommuting today so I can shop with NO children saying "Mom this is borring, can we go now..."
I wish I had an AC Moore down here. At one time they showed one coming soon to Sarasota, but now that doesn't even show up on their website anymore! :sad1:

No time to chat since I'm supposed to be packing right now.:rotfl2: Everyone have a great weekend! BTW, I know I saw HRH on the CB the other day because i responded to her thread about a new dog. Hope we haven't run her off somehow.:confused3

We used to have a Her Royal Highness....:sad1: ...Does anyone know where Linda went? :confused3 Did we lose her in the whole fiasco that insued awhile back? :confused3
:confused3

For the weekend I get Sat off and then working a private party Sunday and then just regular work on Monday. Yep, it sucks but my job ends when I get back from Disney so I better get the the $$ while I can.
Sounds like you work in the 'banquet industry'? :surfweb:

I can't find it now but someone had posted that maybe the barn quilt paintings would help to make our place more desirable or valuable....I was thinking of that the whole time I was taping and slapping on primer today. :woohoo: Tomorrow, I will get the white paint on, too, and then see what the rest of the weekend allows. It is supposed to rain Sunday and Monday so that may be all the farther I get for awhile. I thought taking pictures as I go along would be a good idea, too, to show the progress we make. DH is waiting for me to get my 'squares' established before he starts with the red paint. This should be interesting!

Everyone have a safe weekend....let's hear all about your travels when everyone gets back next week. :grouphug:

Hey everyone,
Just thought I would let you know Madd is home. She sent me an email and said she will tells us about the trip in the next few days.
Sounds like she had fun. She selpt from 7 PM last night till 10 Am today.

I am here! Just trying to make my rounds on the boards and e-mailing people about my trip!!

I missed you all- I see there was a little drama on the freebie board- ugh.

Well- us girls had a great time! My niece was a little "pissy pants" sometimes! I do not have kids- so that is not easy for me to tolerate, But all in all- it was good! I was not a neurotic Disney freak on this trip- we took our time and went at a slow pace! Staying at the Boardwalk made that very easy to do! It is so beautiful there! I like it b/c you kind of forget you are in Disney! It is so beautiful- my niece told me she wanted to stay at a Disney hotel next time we go:lmao:I had to explain to her this IS a Disney hotel...for big people -- but she likes the POP and ASMu b/c of the vibrant colors etc! I can see a kid liking all of that- but I wanted to try the Boardwalk this time- me and SIL loved it! I think Karlee forgot all about the Values after day one! AND after sliding down the Clown slide at the pool about 300 times in a row!
191.jpg

Me and SIL kind of "tricked" her a little- and got her on Test Track the first night- we just kind of "walked on" without any explanation- after we were done racing around the track- my niece just looked at us and said- is it done!?, we said, yes, her eyes were huge- all she said was......good. :lmao: She was a little scared but did not stop talking about it the whole trip. She did pick out the car she wants when she turns 17!- I told her to tell Daddy that one! I am sure he will love to hear it!:rotfl2:
128.jpg

We also got her on Haunted Mansion and Splash- she is a BIG fraidy cat- if you do not take her on the stuff, she will never try it!

Let's just put it this way- when she was 4- she cried b/c she was scared to get on IASW:scared1: Soarin' and Buzz Lightyear - and this year- all she wanted to do was go on, Buzz and Soarin'! You have to push her a little- We would NOT go as far as RnRC though!!!:sad2:

Me and SIL had our chocolate martinis,

champagne and Fiesta Margaritas as often as possible:lmao: We had dinner at the Coral Reef- had Tea at the GF, our breakfasts' at Spoodles were awesome (of course, the Mimosas helped!) and OMG- take a look-see at thhis "little" drink I ordered at PI- I said- hello! I do NOT drink out of BUCKETS! The bartender told me I had no choice, he could not fit all the alcohol in just ONE cup!:lmao:
331.jpg

It only rained once the whole time we were there! We were very lucky. We were having dinner @ the GF anyway- so it did not interfere with anything. After dinner- we just shopped a little and drank more champagne:cool1: and waited for the rain to stop- when it did, we strolled from the GF, peeked at the wedding chapel, then over to the Poly- that was nice, b/c I have never done that before. It was a peaceful quiet walk right after the rain. I was alittle embarrased when SIL sneaked into the venue where the Luau takes place- they were practicing and someone was right on top of us to chase us out!:lmao: oooopps!

We did the MK on Wed night- and there was only a 10 minute wait for the HM, 20 minutes for Splash! It was great! We watched Wishes and instead of rushing to Main Street to head out- we wandered around the back of the park and then headed to Main Street and finally found our way out around 11:30pm! and that was not even an extra magic hour! I love staying in the park after all the crowds have rushed out! SIL has never done that before and my niece was wide eyed until we walked out of the park!

I posted a pic of us over on the freebie thread- but here are a few more-

For SOME reason, Karlee THINKS she is in China!?

Did I mention- she REALLY likes China!?:confused3

DH loves this one- he says this is just SO perfect- 2 BAD girls!:lmao: :rotfl2: He said they would give each other a "run for their money" :lmao: He would not want to be in the way if they both got their horns twisted!!!

I am glad you had a good time. I love the photos.
Hey we heard Johnny was going to be in Disney at the same time as you. But then we knew it must be a rumor since we did not see you on TV being dragged away in cuffs.:rotfl2:

Those are great pictures! It sounds like you guys had a blast. A slightly drunken blast, but a blast none the less. :lmao: You make me wish I was in Disney World right now, but I have to wait until March.

For today, I'll just have to settle for Holiday World. Carly is so excited, you'd think this was going to be her first visit, instead of her thirty-somthingth...:confused3 is that a word?

Madd- I am so glad you got to stay at the Boardwalk! It's my favorite place in the World. My DS11 and I spend the first night sitting on the 'porch' relaxing from our flight and them wander the grounds and pick out which 'garden townhouse' we would stay in (I love the one with the big heart hedge)! My DS12 stays in the room and watches CNN and waits for us to bring back pizza :lmao: .
The pool is great, but this last trip I could not stand the little 'bumps' between the sections of the slide. I think I ned a padded bathing suit.
Oh yes, your chocolate martini looks yummy! ;)

OMG- we had the pizza on our last night- it was yummy!!!

And my SIL was saying that her butt hurt on the slide- I did not feel anything- I was laying back, not sitting up while going down- I wonder if that could be the secret??:confused3

Now where were the townhouses- I did not see them! I guess i will have to see them next time, when it will be just DH and I:thumbsup2

And yes- EVERYONE! make sure all of you order chocolate martinis on your next trip- I think some places listed them as Mudslide martinis.

While we were waiting for our table at 50's Prime Time- I asked the bartender for a chocolate martini- he told me he did not have the Godiva to make one:scared1: I said....Baileys? He said no- but he had Creme de Cocoa- I said, go for it- just add some Vanilla Vodka and a little half and half! - I think he was worried that I would not like it so he said, "It's ALL yours!" :lmao: OMG!! it was SO good! It was white! I told him next time, just add a little chocolate syrup before you shake it up and you got it! He was so excited!:rotfl2: We ordered another one and this time he added some chocolate ICE CREAM! He was all into his experiment!- If anyone goes to 50s Prime Time and wants a chocolate martini- ask for Mario!:dance3:

And look at this! When DH and I took Karlee on her first trip to Disney in 2005- we went to 50's Prime Time and our waitress was Aunt Claire- we took a pic
PC250030.jpg

And this time- our waitress was not Aunt Claire (our waitress was not a good one this time!:guilty: )- however, we saw Aunt Claire and she took a pic with Karlee again! I thought it was so cool- I saw her walking into another area and I recognized her from the back! IT WAS AUNT CLAIRE! SHE WAS STILL THERE!

Morning Freaps,

Ok it is Sunday and I am off to work...again. I did get yesterday off and I played in the backyard with the kids, while also pulling up all the hoses, sprinklers, moved in the irrigation pipe and put away the boat.

We are expecting snow tomorrow night! DS woke up this morning and asked if it was Christmas because it was cold and raining. ;) So yesterday we worked hard to get start the fall chores and get ready for an early winter. I had to sell all the horses so this is the first year we don't have to spend a few weekends putting up hay. All we have to do is take out the snowmachines and put fuel in them. Much easier.

Mt.bluejeans: I work at a very small family held restaurant and hotel. They have the most beautiful gardens. I just work where I am needed and today is an engagement party. There is only 1 chef and he is exhausted so I said I would come in and help out. I love your pictures and sorry to hear about the gravel pit. I sold a house a few years ago and moved because they put in a baseball field across from my house. I just could not live with the lights and traffic. I hope to post a few pictures soon once the snow comes.

We leave for Disney in 17 days and we can't wait. I am getting new contacts and even taking a day off work to get the eye exam and free pair.

Madd, Welcome back from Disney. Thanks for great pictures and update.

Madd....so glad you had a safe trip! the pictures!! I hope you will share more when you get a chance to catch your breath! :yay: Was there rain while you were at WDW?

Where are you?? When you post "irrigation pipe" and "expecting snow"...I am thinking Canada? Just curious, did your house sell at market price with the baseball field across the street?

My butt hurt sitting or lying down, though less when lying. :confused3
To find the townhomes, when you turn into the Inn side from the lobby, go straight ahead until you reach the double doors. They open up to a large stone staircase that leads down to the gardens in the center of all the Inn rooms. Along the left hand side are all the garden suites/ honeymoon suites (not sure of their official name- help me out Maggimus!). Each one had a small courtyard with a white picket fence, archway, mailbox, sitting benches, different themed mini-gardens- they are adorable, I can't imagine leaving them to do anything else! They have 2 floors, laundry, kitchens. I think I first saw them in a Birnbaums guide years ago
We went to 50's once and had a dud waitress. The other half of our section had a waiter who was a total scream. I considered inching closer and joining the neighboring family...:lmao:

Good to see you back Madd and had an awesome time. We had Auntie Claire at Prime Time a while back and she was awesome. It's fun to watch newbie's faces when she catches their elbows on the table or they have to finish all their veggies:lmao:. Shark Bites (bucket drink at PI) are the only thing I order when I go there.

What's in a Shark Bite? :drinking1
