It would be great if ABD added an England/Scotland trip. I love that part of the world, and of course, I love ABD... maybe in a few more years.

I keep telling myself that I can pace myself with these trips - no need to do them all immediately. But they are so much fun!

Yes, of course, it makes perfect sense that you would go early - duh! That sounds like a great trip, in fact -- a few days on your own in England, then jump into the luxury of the ABD trip where they take care of you for the rest of the time. Add an extra few days in France on the end, if you have any energy left... cool.

And Dottie is great - you'll have a fantastic time. (We met on a Disney cruise several years ago...)

SayHello, looks like we will be heading to London around June 10, and then onto Edinbourgh towards the end of the next week. But we have to tweak with DH's London office schedule, so I'll check in with you in May about it. If we shift one way or another, it *could* work. How fun would that be? :goodvibes

I so wish they would! I wan to take my husband to the Lake District and the Cotswolds! To do it with Disney would be just awesome! The minute that happens I am so there!

Oh, kristilew, that would be serious fun! Let me know as soon as your schedule is settled, and hopefully we can work something out. I would love that!

It's been 30 years since I've been to England, which is a ridiculous crime! So there are places I *must* go. And yes, then to be pampered by Disney? Way to go! And I'm probably going to do the Disneyland Paris add-on at the end of the trip. It's gonna be one hell of a trip, and I am so looking forward to it!

Every thing I've heard about Dotti matches what you say. Just in the contact I've had with her so far -- I'm really happy to be joining her group. :)

Hi Everyone!
We are planning on returning to China with ABD next summer. Hopefully the stupid H1N1 thing will be over so we can see China and hold a panda.

On our last trip our girls got a Chinese "makeover" on the last day before we returned home. They went to China with long hair in pony-tails and came home with short-short hair. They are both growing their hair long again so they can get it cut short in China next summer.

We wouldn't consider going to China with any company but ABD!

I am so, SO glad that ABD was so super about the situation that it didn't turn you off to the idea of going back, and experiencing China the way you should! I hope your return trip is fabulous, and everything you'd want, and H1N1 free!

Thanks, Sayhello, we are really excited. ABD has been nothing but outstanding in their handling of our problems.

We haven't picked a date yet, but are leaning toward July 4. That would be rather poetic because it is the day we were released from quarantine during our last summer.

:)MIL and I just booked our Adult Only Emerald Isle trip for May 22, 2010. I am getting excited. But first I have to get excited abut the annual trip to WDW this year, 10/28-11/06, for my 41st birthday!

I've enjoyed reading everyone's ABD experiences. I am booked on my first ABD trip next August to Italy! My father is turning 70 next year and we are taking this trip to celebrate. I am so excited!!!

Wishing wonderful trips to all pixiedust:

My family and I have booked the Peru trip; we went on the Viva Italy trip in August and it was great. However, I was shocked to see no early discounts and the $100 discount for returning guests is a joke. With this all said and done, I felt that the Peru trip was still a good value so I booked it. This just might be our last ABD trip which is sad. We went on the Ireland trip a few years ago and loved it. However, the prices are getting so high that we will just be priced out of these trips.

We were able to use the $100/reservation that was advertised in the Times. That little bit also helped, but for the four of us, the trip will probably run over $13,000 with air fare. I know we'll enjoy it, but that is a lot of MONEY.

SO WE'LL ENJOY THIS ONE AND THEN WHO KNOWS!!!!!!

Hope you enjoy the trip! Did you book after the free cruise offer came out? If you did, can you confirm that the two can't be combined as we have heard?

My daughter and I just booked the Peru adventure 7/26/10. I am so glad I waited to book my trip since I was able to take advantage of the free cruise! This will be our third adventure with Disney. In the past have done Backstage Magic and Cosa Rica.

Hope you have a wonderful time! Did they make you choose between the loyalty discount and the free cruise? I already asked that question in this thread, but I guess I'll keep asking until I get an answer. :)

I did have to choose between the loyalty discount or the free cruise. BUT--- My AAA travel agent matched the Dreams Unlimited offer of a $200 American Express gift card by taking $200 off the price of my trip AND I got the free cruise! Like I a;ways say, it never hurts to ask!

Thanks Phil1019! A free cruise is a good deal, but both incentives combined would have been better. :) I think if I decide to book with ABD for next summer I will take the loyalty discount. We are taking the 3-day Bahamas cruise on Dec 17. This is our first Disney cruise and if we love it I think I may book a Med cruise for 2011 while onboard to get the discount.

We looked at ABD & Tauck & decided it's Tauck Yellowstone & Grand Tetons for us in July 2010. Can't wait!!

Congratulations! I hope you have a great trip. I am keeping several Tauck, Austin Lehman and ABD trips on the radar for next year, hoping to find a good deal on one of them. We will definitely be taking a trip with one of the family adventure companies - maybe ABD, but maybe not. Although I know and love ABD, I don't believe they are totally unique and a lot of the things that they tout and that we praise them for are done by other companies as well. I found a review of Austin Lehnman's Yellowstone trip where the reviewer said the following:

Funny, how small touches can add so much. The nightly surprises on the hotel-room bed: a gift bag with toys; local-specialty candies; an album of photos from the trip.

After a dusty horse-ride, cool face-towels materialized. After a long hike to the awesome Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, out popped one of our guides with a silvery platter of tropical fruit.

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Austin Lehman also has a 6:1 guest to guide ratio with no trip having more than 18 guests. The reviewer's Yellowstone trip had 3 guides. I've been checking out the Tauck Yellowstone trip too and it looks great. Sorry to go off on company comparisons when I just meant to congratulate you on your trip. I'm still a bit disapointed by the fact that ABD does so little to secure our return business, so it's hard to pass up an opportunity to point out that they aren't the only game in town.
