Oh Caitlin, I know I've said it before, but I am still hoping for the best for you and your family. I am so sorry to hear about what you have been going through, but glad to hear that you will be able to make some new memories on your spring trip. It was great to meet you and your family. You're all so sweet. I hope you guys can enjoy the holiday season and best wishes for the new year.

Thank you I think what was best was finding out about this now. If we had gone through with a wedding and been married while finding this out that would have been much worse. I believe Josh came into our lives for a reason and that was to try to help him. You can't change someone who doesn't want to change though.

Caitlyn, I've been following along and really enjoying reading your trip report. It know it took a lot of courage for you to come on here and admit your fairytale was over . I'm sorry things ended the way they did, but I wish you and Josh all the happiness, together or apart, that you both deserve. Everything happens for a reason. If it's isn't meant to be just be glad that you realized/found out that it wasn't before going through with the actual marriage. I'm speaking from experience when I say it's better to know before than to find out later .

I've said a prayer for you and Josh and am wishing the time it takes for your heart to recover is minimal.

I am glad you enjoyed the report. It was hard but I knew I couldn't just up and leave everyone without a proper goodbye and explanation. Thank you I am hoping the same. I agree and I believe our job was to try and help Josh he just didn't want our help. I am glad I found out now and have been thankful that we hadn't gone through the wedding yet. Thank you

It was very difficult and I felt like I was now with another person. It wasn't an easy decision and we tried working it out but after this past weekend I know this isn't right for me and he believes this isn't right for him. I am very thankful for my awesome support system. I am ready to go back to Disney and enjoy all of the magic again!

Caitlin - you are still so, so young. Very mature, but so young in numbers and you still have so many years left to find the man of your dreams. And he is out there, so you should never settle for anything less than the best. I remember being your age and thinking I had a timeline to follow. Boy, was I wrong. It still took years for me to find the right relationship and I certainly wasn't very patient through all those years.

Only time heals a broken heart and shattered dreams, but you are such a strong person and have so much support from your family, that in the grand scheme of things this will eventually end up being a blip in the wonderful life that you are destined to lead.

So when I finally arrive in Disney world tonight I will make sure to send a little pixie dust your way. I'll be thinking of my favorite princess, because that's what you are.

Thank you. I knew it was for the best and after the drama yesterday I am glad I decided to write this when I did. Thank you I hope someday to find a prince and be able to make wonderful Disney memories with him like I did with Josh. I am very lucky to have my family and being with them has definitely helped me.

I agree. I was pretty upset last night and my mom said "you could always call him and make up" and it made me realize I could but I did what was best.

My mom said the same thing to me last night. I realize now that you must get to know all aspects of a person and that there may be parts of them that will come out over time. I wish I had taken the time to really get to know Josh but hindsight is 20/20

Yeah especially if you were engaged to that person. Being with someone for six months and then feeling like you don't know them is the worst. I am spoiling myself with a Disney trip so that is definitely helping me get through the break up! This isn't my first break up but it is by far my worst Thank you!
