This has been the CRAZIEST trip planning over the last few months I think I've ever experienced!!! We Had 2 trips booked for 2014. One for March and one for September. My family is a crazy group of 4.

Out of nowhere, somehow we end up getting a tag a long for our March trip, My DD best friend, so we're really excited to have her!! Especially DD so we went from a trip 3/23-3/27 at POP, to the same time frame at POR in the alligator bayou section, garden view. We had to change to accommodate 5. (Which personally I know since DS is 3 and technically an official guest I understand, but pfft he's 3~ let him sleep in a pack and play and let us keep the room at POP! But I digress.)

THEN our trip in September is a 8 day, 9 night stay. We had this trip booked for POFQ but since we are now staying at POR in March, we decided to go back to our all time fave MOD, Coronado Springs!! We loved CSR and are excited to go back. So excited, in fact, that we added a day!! So now we will be there 9 days, 10 nights! Wooo hooo!! And no, we're not taking the DD bbbbfff (or however many letters the girls are putting in there nowadays..) because 4 days will be pushing our insanity. 9 might push us over the edge.

So We're excited to have 2 trips in 2014.
3/23-3/27 at POR
9/12-9/21 at CSR
Yay!! :cool1:

Glad to hear that you love CSR - that's where we are staying in March! Any tips?

Is anyone else stressed about this FP + magic band stuff? As of right one I have activated, or whatever, MDE - my room and ADRs are linked to it. Is there anything else I can do? Going on March. I clicked the magic band link, but it doesn't seem to be anything. I can do, since i don't have any bands. I am also struggling about what 3 rides to choose, especially since my middle might, or might. It meet certain height requirements (she is right on the verge, I know it's best to plan for her. It doing it, bit hen what if she is tall enough when we get ere).

Also, we are doing CRT and I have prepaid but now I m thinking we will add the DDP - will they just reimburse my credit card once we add the plan? Or not until after the reservation has been done and paid with credits?

Honestly, just take it all in. It's a beautiful resort. The pepper market inside has the best breakfast food. DONT EAT AT MAYA GRILL. Worst dining experience of my life. We don't complain much but that meal lead to a complaint email to Disney who then gave us our table service credits back.

Thanks! It does look really nice! I will remember no maya grill! We are staying in business class so I don't see us using the pepper market a whole lot, but I'm sure we will at least go a time or two.

It's funny when people tell you not to eat at a restaurant. We absolutely love Maya Grill. Our last trip we ate there with our extended family and we got there late and they held our table for us. We were celebrating 3 birthdays with a special order cake as well. We felt like we were the only people there (and the place was busier than we had ever seen it). Our server was so good and the food was spot on. We have never had a bad meal or service there. I even filled out a form as a kudos for our server on this last trip. So, my point is that while one person may have had a horrible time ( I am not doubting that and I don't know their experience), others may recommend it. Use your good judgment and go from there. I would say try it, but that is just me.

I'm glad you had a good experience there. :) To be perfectly honest, you're the first person I've heard personally that enjoyed it! Maybe it was a different wait staff or kitchen staff. I know experiences can be different depending on when you're there. So I'll change my statement to WE HATED MAYA GRILL. Lol our experience was just so bad I'll never give it another shot. Gotta try things out for yourself, but if asking me, I'm giving it a bad review.

Hi All!!!

So Excited! Have been lurking & Wishing for a while now. DH and I have decided that we are Not getting sidetracked this coming year. It will be Hubs & my two (step) Daughters first trip! DS's first trip was in 2005 when he was 4. The kids are: DD 13 DS 12 DD 10… This is going to be So Much Fun!

Undecided still on all points but looking at ASMu family suites & sometime around the first of August. Have already picked up many new ideas & options from the forums. Lots of new stuff to learn about! Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!! :cheer2:

ASMu is great! It rained one day we were there and they had activities in the food court for the kids. It was fun and I played along too! We had a family suite as well. Plenty of room. We had my dad along so there were 5 of us. Everyone even had their own bed!

:yay:Yay so excited we are celebrating my son's big 15 birthday. March 5-14 staying at All Star Music. WOO-HOO!!!:cool1::banana::cool1:

78 days! Got the only ADR we needed done and out of the way, so we're just about ready. We're still unsure about the dining plan (Not sure if we want the QSDP or the regular DDP) and still need to get our tickets. Talk about coming down to the wire! At least the room and the DGF's birthday dinner has been taken care of! :rotfl:

SUPER EXCITED! Just found out that besides our late October/early November trip for 2014, we may be going in May too! :cool1:

The Expedition Everest Challenge is making us consider the special trip. It's all still preliminary, but we may be staying at the AKL May 2-5. :yay: And the EEC sounds like SO much fun! :cheer2:

We were planning on staying at the AKL in Oct/Nov, but now that may change to WL. Not likely though, as we stayed at WL this year.

So much for getting any work done for the next several months! Planning is so exciting! :woohoo:

We are still planning our April trip, although our resort is changed from AoA to Animal Kingdom Lodge. We have begun planning another Christmas trip for next year. I desperately wanted to go back this year but things didn't work out for that to happen. So Christmas 2014 here we come. We are likely staying at Poly this trip Dec. 17th-22nd, and I'm super excited about it. I love that resort and I'm looking forward to being a guest there for the first time. And fingers crossed I don't get sick this time around and get to enjoy this Christmas trip a bit more than last years. Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

May 4th 2014!!!! We cant wait to get back to the Magic with the family. Its been a looooooooooooooooong 2013 and having this to look forward to is shear bliss. We will be staying at the POP for 8 fun filled days. I also am looking forward to experiencing the new Magic Bands, trying to get an ADR for BOG restaurant (at no avail), and hoping for a fast pass plus for lunch :) The NEW Fantasy Land is going to be a hit with my kids I am sure, and NO STROLLERS needed this trip around is a big plus (even though I will miss shoving all my stuff on the back of those things). Its snowing here as I type this and the thought of warm sunny days at the Happiest Place on Earth brings more than a smile to my face. Disney is our favorite place to vacation and waiting is the hardest part (well leaving is definately the HARDEST part!). See you all there in May 2014 Disney fans!!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

In my opinion it is a hit or miss with Disney Restaurants anymore. We never really had a bad experience at a restaurant (maybe waiting longer than we should have), but the food was never bad. Service a bit slow at some, but that can happen anywhere. We are dinning at Tonys Town Square in May for the firts time around and I have heard it get bad reviews at times, but it might also be the BEST meal we have while vacationing at Disney. Like you stated above. You just never know, so give it a try for yourself no matter what others experiences were in the past.
