Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

Disney didn't want to deal with people lining up outside for days

I would wager this. Billy Dee is popular enough, but a Hamill autograph line would probably queue up before the park even closed the day prior, leading to some... difficulties.

this happens every night during SWW, people start making the line Thursday night, even before park closing, for Friday, then Saturday and Sunday.
Mark Hamill would be people making that line for more than 1 day...

What I don't get is why not sell a $250 ticket for MH for an autograph session. It would have been sold out in no time. No need for waiting in line, no need for extra security, the mouse would make a profit...

As we get closer to our first ever SWW trip, I, too was hoping someone would confirm that my plans are reasonable. I have been so stressed trying to make it as fun as I can for my DH and two DS (9 and 5). Any thoughts, comments, etc would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

May 30
Arrive 7am
JT or PMC
Motorcade
12:30 FT ST
2:30 50s Prime Time cAde
4:50 FS Visit to the Maul
6:30 FP TOT

May 31
8am Sci Fi Breakfast
JT or PMC
Motorcade (not sure we will do it twice but left it open, just in case)
1pm D-Tech
3:05 FT SOS
5p FP Great Movie Ride (just a filler)
6:45 FP ST

Not sure we will make fireworks as with the heat and getting up early, not sure my boys will make it. I may stay one night and watch alone and bus it back to the resort.

Again, thanks for this wonderful thread!!!

looks good, remember that the kids have to be with you to sign up for JTA and/or PMC

If they have both done JTA before (at HS and DL) should we try for PMC. I thought we might divide and conquer if one wants to do JTA and the other wants PMC. How easily will these fit into our schedules?

Thanks again!!

When I heard MH was coming, dh said he'd bet it would be a 3 day wait. He wasn't surprised when it was announced no autographs.

Speaking of making money... Have they ever done Jedi training for adults?

Yes, last May the 4th for Limited Time Magic. We weren't in it, but caught one of the shows. Here's one of the pictures I took. I don't know the woman, but she sure looks like she was having fun!

I'll be at WDW June 6-9 specifically for SWW. Being a SWW newbie, I went ahead and booked the Feel the Force premium package for 6/8 and secured a FP for the Stars of the Saga talk show. I know it's going to be an insane weekend because of the MH appearance so I wanted to secure the shows/attractions/experience that were most important to us. What am I missing? Anything? Everything?

If you read the first post of this thread you'll find all the information and then make a tour plan

Thanks. I was hoping to go all carry on since it's a three day trip. No biggie. I'll check a bag :)

It all depnds on the TSA person you get, but no reason to chance the upset if you were made to toss it.

sunscreen. A folding chair to camp out in to get Billie Dee's autograph. If you are going another day I'd go to Ray Park's show and James Arnold Taylor's show.
