"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Well we went on Friday too. The rain made the party seemed not-so-festive but we made the best of it. We got in Cruella's line at 6:30, 4th party in line. Aaand then the lightning and thunder came so all outside characters were down. So at 7:30 we gave up and started getting candy. I never liked Hocus Pocus so I wasn't worried about the stage show personally. But I got to see the fireworks and 2nd parade. Got a spot in front of Heritage House right in front about 20 minutes prior. We did go back to Cruella but we waited almost an hour. It was a good interaction which I think made the line go slower. But she's one I've never met before so it was okay. We then did Pooh & the gang right after fireworks, about a 20 minute wait. We also found the witch from Snow White in Liberty Square before the 2nd parade. No wait! Walked right up, which I was happy about because I've never seen her before. Tiana's line also had no wait at the time. We stayed till 12 with our umbrellas in tow. We bought the poisoned apple cup, the AP pin, the Halloween sugar cookie ice cream sandwich, and a mummy cake pop. Tons of candy. We were also the first ones of the night to get the SotMK card right at 4pm in Liberty Square. I put some pictures up on my Instagram account, xxliz28xx, if anyone's interested. All and all about C- for the day. Totally the rain's fault.

Where oh where did you find the Halloween Sugar Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich?!? Do you have a picture?

How's the weather folks? I think it's starting to clear up here in Windermere, so it should be clearing up at MK too. We had some pretty bad lightening here for a while.

When we bought the light sabers at hollywood studios at sww they made us keep it closed so just checking don't want to get stuck holding it for my kids lol

ok Thank you my son and husband are going as storm troopers , my daughter as Darth Vader and I am going as Boba Fett and my daughter wants to bring her light saber so that is great news!

I'm posting on twitter but I'm fairly new to it.

All candy stops are now open. Character m&g too. Though initially only indoor ones were. Hocus Pocus Spelltacular for 8pm was canceled. Waiting for parade. Everyone is in good spirits. And random guest just have ds glow sticks!

I'm getting so excited. My daughter and I have decided to make a last minute stop before our cruise just to attend MNSSHP on 10/8. My mom has decided to go with us too.

Spent this weekend getting our costumes together. We are going as Peter Pan characters. DD is Tinkerbell I am Wendy and Dmom is Peter Pan. I thought it would be difficult to get costumes together but it's surprisingly coming together. I think it will make it that much more fun for us.

Is it possible to see both Jack and Sally and the 7 dwarfs? We plan to be there by 3:45. We hope to see tinkerbell and Mickey, ride Peter Pan with FP+ and be in line for one of them about 5-5:30 ish and then see the other during the first parade. Is this going to be possible?

Oddly, rain is the thing I am least worried about but that may just be me being optimistic lol. Kinda cool though his cousin, her daughter and mom may be joining us so I am looking forward to see how a 2 year old will hold up and how much excitement she will have.

Well I am definitely starting to worry about the rain...there is 50% chance on both party nights I'm going. Yikes. The whole reason for my trip this year is the hocus pocus show with Oogie (not that I needed an extra reason lol) so I really hope I get to see it at least twice. Rain rain go away.

I wouldn't hold our a lot of hope on seeing J&Sally AND the Dwarfs in one party. I suppose it is possible but that would also mean you would probably be spending all of your time in the lines for those 2 M&Gs. I could be wrong, though.

Speaking of the rain and MNSSHP, I saw this tweet with #MNSSHP:

"I'm glad I got a refund for #MNSSHP on Friday because they tried to give me tickets for tonight....but we would have been rain out again"

I asked her "They gave you a refund because it rained"?

Her response: "more than the rain. Got stuck on 4 rides & the hocus pocus show was delayed, then truncated to 6 mins. Whole night was a disaster"


I wonder what 4 rides broke down at MK during the party on Friday? I guess this is proof of one of the reasons these parties are sell outs and so crowded......makes you wonder how many people are getting free attendance at multiple parties.

You're probably right. I definitely don't want to waste time standing in line. I'll pick one line to stand in and then play the other by ear. I was just curious to see if anyone has been able to do both. The way the parties are selling out I doubt it has been possible. We will be at a party most likely to sell out.
