Just curious, was there anything you couldn't get by doing it one day at a time?

I had no problem getting everything I wanted--I even got BOG for Lunch--I did wake up extra early each morning--we are 2 hours earlier than Florida.
So 4:00am for a week, was rough but it paid off last FD trip.

I just did this too - the only thing I didn't get that I really wanted was BOG dinner. We are doing lunch instead and I got every other restaurant I wanted. We have 8 people in our group and don't have to eat at weird times.

Made my ADR's a few days ago. Woke up at 4 am (I live in a mountain state) and their system wasn't working. Very frustrating. When the phone lines opened up I called thinking all the restaurants we wanted would be gone, but the sweetest cast member was able to pull off a miracle and get me all 9 ADR's we wanted, including BOG for dinner! We've tried for three years for that reservation and finally got it! So excited!

I have never done the free dining and hoping I will be able to this year. I do have a question. FD may or may not be released before I have to make our ADRs. If it's released before I can make my ADRs what's the best way to try to get what I want? Get up early the day of and try getting wait you want? Is it harder to get an ADR?

If FD is offered we will be going the early to mid Sept.--our 180 day mark was last week, so I went ahead and made them, one by one, one each morning. I don't have a package yet and will not book until Fall offer is released, hoping it's FD.
Last Years FD I called to book a package and it came out after our 180 day window for ADRs and CM told me to make sure to book ADRs asap to be able to get what you want and I told her that I had already book them and she said "Well you really are ready".
I remember last FD how people waited to make their ADRs after the 180 day mark and it was very hard for them to get what they wanted or even at all. It was a real scramble for those people. If the Fall offer is not something that I think is worth it, I can cancel all of my ADRs without a charge to my CC.

2015 - released 4/27 for both DV and GP
2014 - released 5/2 for Disney Visa, 5/7 for general public
2013 - released 5/6 for Disney Visa, 5/9 for general public
2012 - released 3/1 for Disney Visa, 3/5 for general public (Sept only); 7/9 for DV, 7/12 for GP for rest of year

So it appears we have at least another month of waiting. Another long, long month....

Just got an email from one of the big Disney travel agencies, that there is a credible rumor that free dining will be announced to visa holders on April 25, followed by General a few days later. Did anyone one else see this? I have no idea how good they are at predicting, or who their credible source is, but it sounds good for those of you waiting for free dining.

We have our trip booked for week of Oct. 10. We booked with a dining plan. If free dining is offered can you call do have your package price adjusted?

Yes, but I will tell you that week is usually not included. Usually IF any of October is, it's the first and last few days of the month.

I have been a DV holder for several years and I missed that perk last year when it wasn't offered.

April 25th was the date "Dad" threw out there as a guess. There has been nothing on the "back channel" communication to substantiate that rumor. Nothing is official until it's official and that is when the mouse speaks. Not trying to be Debbie Downer but everyone needs to be prepared for an extended wait for an announcement. It's not time to call and make new reservations. Trust me...when the official word hits the wire, you will know.

Hey! Good to see you! You know how these rumors go. My main concern is that we will see more numbers go make reservations. If current levels are indicators, we could see another early offer. I really believe the trend will continue, especially with the crowd levels I have seen recently.

Correct we almost booked that week for my kids bday. Was told by cast member history shows not offered then. We are now booked October 22nd week. Cast member said that week and hotel are normal weeks for free dining. Only thing she said might be an issue is my week starts on Saturday and free dining might pick up on Sunday. She said I can drop Saturday or move from Sunday to Sunday. She said no big deal. I will switch if have too. We had free dining in 2014 at riverside and it was the greatest.

I don't get it at all. I feel like those two sentences are a contradiction. An early offer? But crowd levels have been up. Haven't they? Why offer anything with this trend?
