First time posting but following this site since back from my first Disney world trip with my wife and two daughters at the Grand Floridian in November 2016. (I did go to Disney world when I was a kid)

I fell in love with the Grand and did a lot of research on Disney vacation club.

We decided to do a low offer on VGF ($115 per point : closing cost with admin fees ($820) split 50/50 : buyers pay 2017 maintenance fee) just to get an idea how it would work out. We thought that the offer would not be accepted and then we would move on and just wait a few more months.

To my surprise, the offer was accepted and we found out that it just passes the ROFR today!! Now our planning for our next trip will start!

Sorry to hear that. That is an incredibly low price. That drunk monkey could have thrown 100 darts and missed, and they still would have taken it!

Sorry. I feel your pain. They took mine (BLT) for the 2nd time yesterday too. They were hungry this week. My broker said they took 5 contracts & have been aggressively buying in Jan. Good luck if you decide to try again.

Maybe Disney got a new rofr budget, so they take whatever they can below yyyy price per point.

Try again. There's no reason to pay more. The ROFR decision should be viewed as a drunk monkey throwing darts. He just happened to hit you again. Seriously, they only take back about 2% of contracts, and price is not the deciding factor.

They may take only 2% of all contracts but they took ~17% of all BLT contracts last year and ~30% of BLT contracts in Q4 (based on OCC data). Not all resorts are treated equally - BLT is by far the most likely to be taken, just look at the previous ROFR threads.

Fixed it. I'm nervous Disney is going to take it. This is my first foray into DVC. Planning to take a trip this July. Do you think it's possible to still book at AKL 3 months out? Looking to book a 2bdr. If everything passes, I should be able to get my membership # in April.

It's possible. The good news is things are moving very quickly these days and you'll most likely have your membership number in March. Not guaranteed but the odds are in your favor.

Thanks. ROFR took our 1st BCV contract 2 weeks ago, same $93/pt for 175pts. So we were worried about this one.
BTW, I use ScubaCat formatting tool. Good job with that tool.
