I received the dreaded email today. We arrive on May 30 and have a courtyard view room.

I noticed they said Territory Lounge will offer a continental style breakfast. Anybody been recently and know what all that encompasses?

:welcome: to the DIS and our little thread, @ToddH.

HERE is the link to the Territory Lounge breakfast menu updated last month.

We just booked a Deluxe Studio for 10/26 - 11/1.

Congratulations on booking and I'll log your dates, @FoxC63.

From what I've read it's more hair wraps and mani-pedis, but I could be wrong.

That's correct.

I can't recall ....when looking at the map, which rooms would be club level rooms if you were on the 7th floor?

I don't know if the VP Suite can be booked, but the temp. CL lounge did move out from that location so in theory it should be bookable again.

We have our first stay at Boulder Ridge April 24 - 27 and just received the "construction" email about Roaring Forks and the leisure pool closing. I'm looking forward to trying Geyser Point! It also says the jogging path is open. Has that been moved? I'm not sure I'll use it after running in the Dark Side but just in case it would be nice to know!

Thanks.

Congratulations, @TinkerBellLiz, I'll add your dates:)

The concrete jogging path never closed. It still begins near the bus stop and ends at FW. As far as the wood chip trail that runs along Bay Lake and FW, I don't know if that will ever re-open?

Haven't bothered to change my ticker but we just changed from AKL back over to WL for this weekend. Kept waiting for a room to open up and one finally did! March17-20, whoo hoo!

YIPPEE! Hope you'll post about your stay, @rcraw45425 :)

Thank you for the update. If it heads to FW then it will be perfect for a walk to visit my equine friends over at the FW barn and maybe a Trail's End breakfast! I will of course take/post pictures as usual. :shamrock:

Thanks for the info about what rooms are on the CL floor! I remember now that there are only really 24 CL rooms now that the south wing is shut down. For those of you who have stayed CL, do you know how many of these rooms ....or which rooms....may have bunk beds?

The newest map showing things after CCV opens have the nature trail back on them so it seems like that trail will be returning.

I know that at least one of them has a bunk bed. It faced the MK.

So I just saw that Roaring Forks is closed, I'm assuming Geyser Point is handling everything now. Do they have the case with sodas and water there or is it in the gift shop? Wondering about late nights/early morning if it decides to be chilly /rainy

I did not see a case with water or sodas there. That was in the traditional area in the mercantile. The mercantile added a small display case of cupcakes, cookies, and pastries. The Territory Lounge has some pastries and coffee that can be put in a rapid refill mug for breakfast, then goes to normal operating conditions.

Geyser Point is open from 7am to midnight and serves as the only quick service option.

Cases of water were always in the Mercantile.

thanks, Since we drive I can just throw a few bottles of Dasani in my luggage!

Just to confirm because you asked about buying the water but now plan to bring - the Mercantile is open where you'd buy the case of water should you wish to not pack it. The quick service - Roaring Fork is closed - they sold individual bottles. The Mercantile also sells individual bottles.

Great news - thank you, @KAT4DISNEY :)

I realized that we hadn't posted our return dates here yet for the Lodger's Log. We'll be back at WL from August 11-20, 2017 and can't wait to see the changes.

YIPPEE! Is August a first? You usually always go in September, but I assume you don't want DD missing any school? Are you going with family/friends again? I'm heading right over to the Lodgers' Log:surfweb:

Is it difficult to get a table at Artist Point without reservations? We'll land at ORL around 6pm after an all-day flight. I imagine we'll be hungry, but I don't know if we'll be up to eating at an upscale place.

Are there recommendations for eating at the airport, or is it all fast foods?

I've tried a few times and never been able to.

We've been able to get last minute reservations at Artist Point a couple of times.

You might try the territory lounge - you can get food from artist point in a more laid back atmosphere, reservations not required or accepted! It's great for arrival night.

I'm not sure if the construction has turned some away or just because WL is down half capacity, but I had an ADR for 8:15 at Artists Point on Sunday. I thought we were going to be late so I changed it to 8:40. Ended up being there right at 8:15 and they took us, no wait. It was empty!

I had lunch at Whispering Canyon and they even joked they were unsure if they could seat us because again over half the restaurant was empty.
