I love credit cards so much!

Yes! I called to ask they expedite my Platinum, told them I had some traveling coming up soon, and they overnighted the card to me.

ETA: I suppose you could also fib a little and tell them you're trying to plan some upcoming travel.
Thanks! I have plenty of coming travel so it definitely wouldn't be a fib :)

Please check my logic for me…

I’m going to be buying an iMac sometime soon, which will cost close to $2K. I’m trying to figure out how to make the most of this large purchase.

DH and I have 4 UR earning cards between us. We’ve spent about $250 on the CFU at Best Buy for the Chase Pay 10x back, and we haven’t used any of cards at Walmart.com yet. Is my best option to buy $1350 in VGC from Best Buy ($400 per card minus the $250 we already spent), and then the remainder in VGC from Walmart.com (which I would do today since the promo is ending)?

I'm also aiming for SW CP. If you go for it in June, you only have it for 2018 and 2019, correct? Isn't it better to get it closer to the end of 2018 so you get it for 2019 and 2020 (two full years)? I'm a SW newbie so trying to figure this out.

Theoretically yes, but we do most travel in the last half of the year, so it works well for me to grab it in summer instead of waiting.
Alternatively I may talk myself into doing it ASAP by attempting to get the business card. So scary. Lol

I have read people getting the ur bonus on both cf and csp???

Maybe so! I read a ton of DP's from slickdeals before using the offer and I came away with the thinking it was once per Chase Pay account with the offer being available on 4 different cards (CF, CFU, CSP, Sapphire). I went and read the T&C just now and it does not say once per Chase Pay account but their T&C almost makes it seem targeted.

We recently booked our six night trip and got every single hotel room for free along with one flight.

Staying at a Springhill Suites for three nights just a mile or so outside one of the Disney gates, I believe AK's. This was after clearing a bonus on the Marriott card early last year. I still have 19,000 or so points remaining on that card and continue to use it for minor purchases to get back up over 20k which should land us another nice room later in the year, plus we have the annual freebie to use after the card has been open since December.

Then we are spending three days at Universal and have a room booked at the Hilton DoubleTree right outside, another clearance of a bonus from signing up for the card in spring of 2017. I cleared the Marriott rewards and the wife cleared the SPG one.

Finally, I upgraded my Delta SkyMiles AmEx card and cleared another 50k bonus. This not only got us one round-trip free flight to Orlando from Boston but also had enough points to get $50 off of the second flight.

Total savings:

Avg. of $115+ taxes per night on the hotels (call it $130/night) = $690
Flight savings = $350

Total savings = $1040

It was pretty easy to clear the bonuses and just takes a little bit of legwork moving auto debits of something like car/home insurance to a particular card but $3000 to clear over three months went really fast because of it. We simply paid off the balance at the end of each month like it was a normal bills cycle so no accumulated interest on any of these cards. Once the points are all used up, we will likely close them so they can be churned again in the future after 24 months. I have paid the annual fee on all of these cards which totaled a little under $300 but now also have another two "anniversary nights" to use before they are closed for good. We usually take 2-3 vacations per year so those other free nights will come in handy.

Not yet. My charge is still pending. There seem to be a lot of data points on slickdeals suggesting this deal is per card.

keep in mind though, if u go on this route, u lose out on all the credit card insurances, ie extended warranty and price protection.

That's true. I would get Apple Care though, so I'm not too worried about the insurance. There are very rarely major sales on Apple products, so I'm not concerned with losing price protection.

Double checked my spend on my SPG biz since I'm at 56 days - $4200. And I still have a list of big payments I can put on it that I haven't used yet, so should be good :) Still got some Christmas gifts to buy.

My CSR statement closes on the 27th, and I paid my AF on Nov 1st, so I was trying to think of a way to use the $300 credit right away and then downgrade. We're looking at doing a family weekend trip as a gift for my in-laws, split between all of the kids. I was looking at flights yesterday and I see some for $80-$100 RT per person, so that would be a good way to use that credit!

Reminder: Chase Pay Walmart online promo ends 12/14! Walmart is really weird about when they finally post their charges so double check your UR points on your purchase if your charges posts 12/14 or later and save the email confirmation as proof if you need to SM Chase for your bonus points and prove you purchased the product before the promo ended.

Okay, so for the Best Buy chase pay offer, that’s available for csr, csp, cf, and cfu, correct? I don’t have cfu but have the others and am thinking of picking up $1200 in visa gift cards assuming I can find them. And the activation fees are about $6 per card???

Best Buy, I can confirm it works on CSR and CSP, don't have a CF.

Where are you buying the iMac from? B&H doesn’t charge tax outside of NY and NJ and offers free shipping.
